Joys of joys, I've found that the points have arc'd, leaving a nice mess of the points. $75 later and hopefully Ikasu will be revived. Wanisami is a bit sick with her front brake required a rebuild. Both will be undergoing a bit of cosmetic surgery with new paint jobs and vinyl stickers (replacing the painted 'zeros', names and lecky tape numbers).
I seem to do it a lot, without even realizing even. Like my plans to buy a vfr, when is that going to happen.. I'm fuckin broke ! I've got a project bike in pieces that needs a new motor, which isn't going to be too costly (well I hope) as I can do nearly all the work myself, I'm still servicing a fuckin bank loan, then there is a hefty tool account to pay off (quality tools are hellishly expensive), a tax bill, probably several hundred illegitimate babies with mohawks and ...
DAY 5 / Leg 4 – 26/03/09 – Wellington - Picton - Christchurch: I had packed two lots of gear for the trip, with sleeping bag, wets, liners and spare gloves in one pannier and clothing etc in the other. (Camera and travel docs etc in the top-box). When I got home I swapped North Island maps for South, threw in the strops for the ferry. Took the clothing pannier up to the bedroom, threw out the dirty washing and put in the clean gear I had packed in a shopping bag. I was all ready to go. ...
DAY 3 / Leg 2 – 24/03/09 – Bell Block - Cape Egmont - Awanui: I had a great nights sleep, not requiring my MP3 as I couldn’t hear Steve snoring from his pad in Hawera. I got up about 0800, packed, puttered around New Plymouth, filled at Spotswood, then headed out to the Cape with a wee diversion around one of the bays after a recommendation from a chap at the Service Station. Once again it was a matter of killing time until we were released so I took a couple of pix and chatted. ...
Another Rusty Ride done and dusted, this time the Southern Cross Road Rally, touted as the longest Rally in the Southern Hemisphere….that is, until they hold the 10,000Kms in 10 days next year. This ride is held every two years and I’ve wanted to do for awhile but haven’t been able to and I put off entering this year due to the cost, but when Ann won $1,000 BP Gift Voucher and I only needed to buy accommodation for 3 of the 8 days….well I had no choice. Preparations ...
Feeling much better after tummy bug and had to go to Richmond for a meeting, and as it was such a beautifully, sunny and still day, I decided to take a bit of a ride. Went out to Hope, then realised that I wouldn't bother going all the way out to Brightwater, as I would be going out that way this weekend with the girls on Sunday, so headed up the back roads NW. Remembered how straight some of the roads are out that way, so decided to tuck myself in and turned the trottle as far as ...
Okay so time for the next post in my blog. Okay, so it's 12:30 am on tuesday morning, I have to be at work in just over 8 hours and I'm jazzing. I spent a fair bit of time on Sunday talking to the wife of a friend who has actually been through the procedure almost a year ago. It was very informative and she had some great advice. She openly admits she does not regret going through the procedure and has suggested I read some blogs from those who have been through it. ...
My patience has ended with this. It's up for sale. I'm staying with two strokes.
