Why such hatred for other bike types?

To start with I have only read this post and none of the replys so remembering that here we go...

As a general rule you cant get to bigger different a groups that are so alike.
The Guzzi following are a very social group that love their bikes and mates, however they love to enjoy all bikes and ther riders, the Guzzi owner will chat to anyone and every one... but then you get to the Hog riders, they lover their bikes and only their bikes (and themselves) they do not like asocating with other bikes exspecialy jappers, eg: even on my Guzzi very few wave back its just the hole HD attude thing.

So, this sorta tells me your mate shouldnty have a Guzzi, at the end of the day the MG and HD are a very similer bike and atract similer people, pitty the HD attude is so far up their arse thy cant enjoy out siders company.

Having said that I find BMW riders to be bigger poofters than the HD riders, and in both cases I know and ride with both brands of bikes and they all rock by me.

Now remember I was generlizing with this post.

I haven't got enough time to be 'up my arse' let alone worry about what bike another joker (or sheila) rides.

MY attitude: "It's not their ride - it's the person astride." (that counts)

Probably letting down some of the stereo-typical HD types though....

Like I said I was generalising its a typical suituation where the minority spoil it for the majority.

our main HD dealer here in christchurch is also a guzzi dealer and other bikes so i dont see what the problem is, i ride with the HOG club socialy every week and we have jappas and other makes of bikes with us all the time. i was at one time one eyed and all that floated my boat was british bikes specialy triumph, and they were as about one eyed as every other bike maker look at any bike book on the early days on bike racing in the usa and and it was the triumph that was winning all the major events, i have had loads of bikes over the years and i now ride a harley because it suits me and i have neck problems from binns way back so the sat up easy style suits me, i have had and raced jap bikes in the uk semi pro and find all bikes interesting i ride in all black my plate is REBL because i have allways been a rebel from way back but im not a gang member i dont drink at all cept orange juice and i wave or nod to all bikers as they are family, infact i was sat on the side of the road one day havin a smoke and a rather tasty chick stopped on a suzuki and asked if all was well, and it really made my day. all i can say if you ride and dont wave or nod your either too busy lookin at traffic or changing gear or up your own arse coz you dont ride the same type of bike, we all have our own reason for picking what we ride its wonderfull too have so much choice i thank god that we have choice as these pricks would have no one to pickon would they my 10c worth !!!!

this thread seems to be going on and on ,this how wars got started lol, but if the laws regarding advertising were changed, that is when you would really see hatred toward other bikes,HD would lead, followed by triumph, the battle over who is the true rebble bike and biker, this is a catch 22 thread, it is the same as ford vs holden, they as good as each other, so are bikes , ride what you like and be happy, some one does not like the the bike you ride then they have the problem not you .

true yes a bike is a bike at the end of the day, what you choose to ride and enjoy after all its your money that you spend to buy the bike of your choice so why should other people try to belittle you for your ride because they think there bike is better in anyway than yous, because the cylinders are a different shape of configuration as long as it goes and is reliable dont leave oil all over the road and is well maintained what the hell, its a bike at the end of the day just enjoy your ride and if someone looks at you funny maybe they have a fly in there eye or the shit it left behind life is short take each day as it comes and most of all enjoy it there will allways be a prick to trying to put you down for some reason because there life sucks. thats 20c now !!!
