You would like it on MSTRS bike. you should be able to see over his shoulder. Maybe no pack rack makes you feel more vulnerable from the back. How was it different cos they are identical bikes but for the colour?
But what a day aye. Time to collect ZZZZZZ's Thanks people![]()
Well you Bay guys, what can I say, but a great big thanks for making a great ride happen!
The whole trip was great, with so many legs. The Wimbledon Tavern a perfect rest stop.
Lunch at Patangata was really friendly and relaxed, almost felt like a lazy beach day.
And what can we say about the tour of the Bay back roadsThat was hilarious and quite surreal

It ended perfectly, with most of the Ashurst crew finding each other again at the intersection of 2 and 50.
Thanks again guys, we must do it again soon!
Hope you all made it home safely![]()
No......... thank you 86GSXR. You put this together and thanks for doing the hard yards. you have a great group down that way and we will do it again. Thanks for taking the time. Yep all our lot got home safe. How is the guy that dropped the bike on the first stage? Zuki 400 I think.
hainswof is fine after the drop...thanks for asking mate...he was a bit sore and getting a bit stiff on the way home but hes got the next few days off anyway (time to get that fairing fixed)...and thanks to the chap with the triumph leathers who had the tape to strap it up for the rest of the trip too (didnt catch your name)
nice to meet all you lot from up the bay way, had a ball myself (as always)...just a pity we had to shoot off early (we went south from waipuk), and couldnt join in the "valley of the lost bikers trip"....sounds like it was a bit of humour!!
according to the GPS i still got 275km done so still a pretty good ride for the little viffer![]()

Thanks Gixxer![]()
It was a very good collaboration, and proves once again the power of this site to gather a great group of like minded people into one place to just enjoy.
I know that everyone had a great day and met new friends, and at the end of the day, that's the important thing![]()
You, my friend were instrumental in it all - thank you![]()
I haven't heard how Hainswof is, I'm fairly sure he's alright. He may be a bit sore, let's hope he reports in with an update.
86 Gixxer, that pic of the RDLC and your slabside's choice.. i'd love one of those.
Sorry Officer - I wasn't speeding, i was qualifying...
Still on the temporary repair, but it shouldn't be too long before the new one arrives. I just hope I'm not in the middle of nowhere on my own if it goes again.
[QUOTE=yod;thanks to the chap with the triumph leathers who had the tape to strap it up for the rest of the trip too (didnt catch your name)

Your welcome mate as long as the boy is ok ......................................
Well not long home now and 435ks under the belt, fire going and bike parked in U4EA's lounge![]()
Great day all round and thanks to all those involved in the organisation of today and thanks to the bay guys for showing us so many different roads and different ways to get to SH50 the views where great
Mind you I did suffer a slight cramping at the end of Valley road slowing to walking speed and managered to sort it at the SH50/valley road intersection...
everybody went opposite directions when we got to SH50 (this one was planned) we said thanks and goodbyes and had a good trip back to Ashurst and coffee at Cowboyz and laughed about our day![]()
Thanks for saying so CM. They're a great bike alright, and a huge legacy in the evolution of the modern sportsbike.
Great to see what they have become 22 years later too, and they sure helped make this a great day! Cheers
p.s. if we're ever in the same place, let me know and you can take er for a ride.
