    Beaumont rally ride

I'm still hoping to get up for the big group ride from the Beaumont rally. It leaves the site at 11am as per the following:

If you look at the programme it leaves Beaumont at 11am, over to Tapanui ,leaves there at midday for the Clinton pub (lunch), leaves Clinton at 1:30 for Balclutha (Hotel Sth Otago), leaves Balclutha at 2:30 for Milton (probably the pub), leaves from Milton BP at 3:30 for the Lawrence pub and leaves the Lawrence pub at 4:30 to get back to the site

Who else is keen to get there by 11am to join this ride - meet at Lawrence at 10am for a coffee (Wild Walnut) then leave Lawrence at 10:30 and ride up. I realize this might be a bit early for those requiring last minute nail polish adjustments, but this ride out seems to be a feature of the rally so it would be a shame to miss out on it. If you ride up later you might as well try to meet up with the group ride somewhere because there might not be many at the site.

Yeah unfortunately the power of my mind just isnt up to scratch either...

Got the bike from welly had a mechanicy friend look at it, but either he missed it which would have been easy enough to do or I did it myself (no idea how)

Oh well first bike is very much a learning experience!

That wasn't mud - that was just a little build up from dirty water. I could arrange something to demonstrate the difference - I wonder, do they make knobbies to fit an LS650???

Had a good ride today - we didn't catch the ride out from the site but heard there was only about 12 bikes on it anyway. We did our own thing - up to Roxburgh for lunch then home via the Moa Flat route to Heriot and Tapanui (for fuel) then back to Beaumont. I've come home and left them to it.
No doubt there will be some stories to tell after tonight - the sheep shit in the tent site was bloody disgusting and was getting on everything, so there'll be some serious washing down of tents etc tomorrow when they get home.
Looked like it will be another nice friendly smaller rally

Glad to hear was a good day. Having no bike is starting to get a bit painful...
Pity about the sheep remainders... hopefully they plan around that next year.

There were lots of Brownie Points on the paddock! I would of happily given you more than one, hehe. BUT well done anyway, sorry we missed you all, we were actually pissing around all day. A late start (have you ever watched a certain Girl pack), RM late in Lawrence, fixing Suzuki's beside the road & so behind the 8 ball all day. Enjoyable ride in good company all the same.
