Thunder x is hard pack clay so when it gets wet it is very slippery, the B track is ok but the A track can get quite challenging if your a bit of a novice.
Would love to join you all but the bike is still in bits, but will be keen for a ride next saturday.
We should be there at about 9 - 9.30 or so. I cant wait. Havn't been on the dirt for almost a month! I'm having withdrawals!
What was Thunder Valley like Muddy or OK. Might go there first thing if the guy at Woodhill doesn't get back to me.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
MUD FEST !!!!!
i can't believe that i managed to get my car back to the road from the carpark!!
man I fucked myself up bad. I went on the A loop by accident and what a fucking wanker that was. I fell off 8 times and did a Superman into a tree...... Thank god I had body armour on as i would have fucked my sholder otherwise. I wasted my thumb as it was!! Ended up falling off about 8 times on the first loop.....
B Loop was awesome. A bit slippery in parts with some water down on the surface. I shit myself a bit with the downhills after all my spills.... Manageed to not fall off agiain, but my thumb made it a bit hard to go fast.
Took me over an hour to clean my bike!!
All in all I liked it, but I wich I hadn't done that A loop..... that was my only downside for the day..
I am amazed that you even bothered to clean your bike once you got back. mine might have to wait till midweek. cheers for the ride guys. i had the most dodgy trip back to the road with my carit almost bottomed out twice and it took three attempts. i will be keen as to go back, but next time when it is dry i think. BOOM was the only one of us the seemed to not have a problem with the mud!
Sorry I forgot to warn you about the driveway, but cheese i'm sure I did warn you about the A track. and that was probably only half the A track as the last time I was there he had cut alot of it out beacause it was a bit wet.
Yeah I was warned about the A track But the sign had fallen down.......
Fuck it!!
Yeah Sam is a bit of a crazy bastard on his bike so he was going nuts everywhere. I was ok, but it was hard to ride with a fucking sore thumb!!
Keen as to go back again.
I've got a water blaster at home and I blast the mud off on the grass then I have a massive drain hole that I wash my bike over. It's great as I'm left with little or no mess!!
Nice to meet you James! Have to go for a ride again. I think that thunder park would be really good in the dry. It got better as the day went on and and the track got a chance to dry out.
I wish he would do something about that drive! Not all of us drive a big diesel. I'm surprised it was that wet. Looking forward to Woodhill in the morning. Should be minimal people on the trails as no one seems to be riding on account of it being Mothers day.
it was awesome!
Yeah pretty wet in places. I managed on my first loop to ride straight into a big deep puddle and soaked myself and the bike...
We did the B loop a few times then thought to follow some guys up the A Loop. It probably would have been OK if we managed to stay on the track! Lets just say we had a bit of an adventure off the track in some massively muddy bogs!
But it was a fun day.
Damn you guys!!
I didn't end up goin anywhere!!!!
But got the suspension in.
Jeepers Danger is pretty strict on how to install them right down to which bolts to torque up first. But I did it EXACTLY as instructed.

So was it Cheese who was with us down in the bog? Cos we went down the hill because we saw someone else down there and thought if he was down there there must be a way out! So we followed him down to find a narrow creek and a tiny little goats trail to get out... My mate got his back wheel stuck over the axle in mud. took us 15 mins to get that bastard out... Now who was the person to sugesst "Give it some Gas!!!" so it can dig itself a bigger hole!!
But we got the bike out, and used teamwork to get all 3 bikes through the tiny goats trail back onto the track...
