Help me to settle a discussion with my teenage daughter

So here is the case

When you go to a party and you take your own beer and soft drinks do you think you should ask the remainder back a week after the party?

Example - You take a dozen beer and you only drink 6 bottles

If you take something to a party, and it does not get used then take it home. If theres only a bit left, leave it.

You should only take it home if they offer it back to you.. otherwise it is just weird!

only if the hosts are not going to use them or offer them to you

only on the night/day of the party no later

No, certainly not a week later.

Maybe if you take them to the party and don't drink them at the time, but not a week later.

How would you know? When was the last time you left a party and there was any drink left?

I agree, at least thats what I've always done......and if the shoes on the other foot I insist they take it home....just seems right I guess.

If I leave some then I go back and drink them. Often the next day.

depends .. if there is some in the chilly it goes home .. but most of the time there is nuffin left .. if its beer .. then i leave it .. cause i never drink it ..

guess thats why there is still beer in muh fridge ..
