Why are some treating it like this must be a one party at fault divorce.

Seems there was a disagreement, Ixion took time out to think or cool down.... then found his moderator status just GONE as he had not apparently come back to the table fast enough.

I really think that if he had "thrown his toys out of the cot" he just might have done the "I'm leaving post" a couple of weeks ago.

His point he made (to my view) is that the site is changing. In his opinion that he is entitled to, not for the better, and that it is something members might do well to question. T do that the facts re site changes needed outing.

And now hey have been - there is to be more "consistency" ie USE of moderating powers. That can only mean a harder line.

There was a bit of a "winge" element to his post - so what, why not too!
The good levity given to posters here in the past keep the site pumping imo.

Because Ixion decided to split, he only lost his MOD status for 'Poos' sake.

Why didn't he just make his point and leave it at that.

With the apostrophes, it looks like "for the sake of someone whose name ends in poos" and leaves me wondering why anyone would do anything for cowpoos' sake...

Sometimes I think this site is like when you brought your first girlfriend home and mum keeps poking her head round your bedroom door to check your not doing anything you shouldn't.

I feel like screaming "leave us alone Mum!"

Funny, cause Hitcher looks nothing like my Mum.

Odds, on this post being shifted?

From another thread, on another topic, this gem.

    "Mod Warning: Be nice people."

I have chosen not to link the thread, anyone sad enough can hunt it out.

I highlight it simply as an example of why a lot of people feel they have to tread eggshells where the moderating team are concerned these days.

Personally, I don't think it's what the moderators say or do, rather it's how it is done, and the associated secret squirrel stuff that goes with it.

Frankly, I don't care. I have a wife, she's scarier than any moderator, and her infractions carry a damn sight more weight than threats of restrictions on my postings to an internet message forum.

But that's me, others, well they take these things a little more seriously.

That's my 2 cents, do I get any change?

    Up yours Donor.

I had a discussion with a KB member in meatspace today and he quite rightly pointed out that Kbers can be bloody hard on newbies.

If you've got something say to me, how about you do it instead of being a wuss? Without the link the context is lost, and that particular thread has actually turned out to be a lot of fun.

On that note, here's my Ixion moment.

    Bye.

Whatever pal, the context had nothing and everything to do with this thread.

It was to highlight how people react to things in different ways, how interpretation of context can differ between individuals, hence why I didn't link the thread.

I suppose I should retort with nasty words, but there's really no point in it.

sorry to see some more ppl leave ..

this is definately a wonderful community of ppl who with the diversity of individuals who will at times throw all of their toys outta the cot, re evaluate or re prioritise important things in their lives. And sometimes that is not a bad thing .. esp if you lose your ability to impartiality

so ppl come ppl go .. kinda reminds us of life & death but in a softer manner ..they are still out there somewhere ..

personally if ixion & motu feel like they do then its time for them to take a break & perhaps we will see them back with a different prospective ..

after all we are all just small fish in a massive lake called the internet

This is probably a piss take, but fuck it.

    Have you met Spankme?
I don't know Spankme very well at all, but the things that strike me most about him are his generosity and his commitment to his ideals, despite the fact that no good deed shall go unpunished and every bastard moans about his effort and hard work.
He gives freely of his time and asks for nothing in return.

Has anyone been made to pay to use this site?
He is committed to free speech and minimal censorship.
Are these really traits of a dictator?

Pleased to see the back of you, you bloody ungrateful prick.
