The motor in that is very similar to the RF-400 one, just not with VVC.
Now THAT did not pull from 3000rpm!!!

I believe the valve on the resevoir is there to regas the shocks.
I wouldn't touch it if I were you.

Finding someone in NZ to get your forks rechromed is like watching pigs fly alongside 747's !!

You have to get the sword through the Katana symbol. You do !!!
    It ain't the same without.

Looking forward to seeing her Saturday

Nice! That would be about the nicest bike you've ever owned, wouldn't it Kickaha?

My Katana Kommuter is being ripped to bits this weekend. Tank, nose cone (it is a stealth fighter after all), and front guard to be painted, fork stanchions to be rechromed, rear shocks to be recharged and re-sprung. New rear tyre on Saturday too.

Is there a Katana Kommuter Klub in the offing then?

Kichaha's Katana Kommuter Klub to be precise.

The KKKK for short. Neither Zip nor Racist.

No it's not, the nicest bike I owned was a fairly mint 1982 SD900 Ducati
don't judge me by the condition of my XJ550

It needs a bit of tidying up, but chances are it wont get it, the rear shocks are cheap crap so that'll be first on the list, along with the GSXR750 front end conversion and wire wheels

One ridge closer to town, and you could get Korokoro into the mix as well...

Hmm. Not keen on the red/white "suzuki" tank lettering, BUT the logo looks damn cool!!!
Keep it as is, perhaps incorporating a "Suzuki" in it somewhere... (above?)?

    Cheers Swoop.

Going to go with a white Suzuki on both sides of the tank and leave the logo on the side covers alone.

Oooooo, you can't do that to a Kat!

    The same dark, sparkly grey.
