Suzuki B-King - Finally gonna be released

    http://www.suzukibking.co.uk/

Looks like the b-king concept is a reality and final details August 2007.

Looking of the photos, still can't really tell if they using the busa, to the gsxr1000 mill.

Either way i was wonder how long before they made this in some sorta fashion, or in theory a bigger version of the gsr600.

That is one bike i would be jump at the chance to upgrade to.

Its so just loud and in your face, and busa motor with a supercharger out of the box, just think what that do. Thats how a muscle bike should be made.(not to sure how much of the concept will follow across to real bike only time will tell), and like anything different strokes for different folk.

    (Taken from the bking concept)

'Suzuki's new concept bike B-King looks like it could leave every other bike way behind at the traffic lights. And I'm pretty sure it could do that, too. Imagine Suzuki GSX1300 Hayabusa with a super charger - that's exactly what B-King engine is. There's no exact engine data available but we know that Hayabusa gives 175 bhp and a super charger could easily add 50% more power. 240 bhp has mentioned. Holy cow!!! That's about twice as much as what the GSX1400 engine delivers.

GSX1400 has the same tire dimensions as Hayabusa. 120 at the front, 190 at the rear. B-King uses 150 and 240 tires! They must have created a new tire model just for B-King...

Materials like carbon fiber, stainless steel, aluminum and leather were used building this awesome superbike. An advanced computer system is integrated to the bike. There are self-diagnosis systems, advanced telemetry, which can use a mobile phone for remote maintenance, setup options, and even a GPS-based weather warning system, in case you are heading for a rained out area, and much more. The engineers at Suzuki are supposed to design a helmet with a GPS navigation system using the visor as a display.

The bike is started using a fingerprint recognition system. There's also a advanced thief alarm system. If an unauthorized person tries to start or move the bike the owner gets notified of it immediately by his/her mobile phone. There's a microphone and a speaker built in the bike so the owner can speak with the thief by the phone. If a speaking motorcycle doesn't scare off the thief, you can activate light and sound alarm and the GPS system helps locating the bike if it actually gets stolen.'

    Fair enough.

The bike is started using a fingerprint recognition system.
Now it would be good if it had a glove recognition system!

I've read a few bits on the production B King. Apparently it's got the Hayabusa engine, but it's not going to be turbo charged.

Suzuki seem to be playing this one close to the chest. Seems a bit over the top for a naked bike, but may look a bit better that the Z1000, or MT01.

Wow that looks awesome. I like the fact that they are bringing something out which is kinda different, and from the sounds of things insanely powerful.

And tyres that huge will look rad, i think from the photos thats one bike that will definitely get some looks.

An attention grabber it is. I am struggling with the whole "edge" design principles that have crept into motorcycle design in the last five yrs though.
If naked aggression is what its about, then I guess it's working. However, bikes like round case Ducaties, most Guzzies, Tritons etc still look way better with more street cred and have an ageless design compared with computer designed, CNC cut street bikes of today.
I know I'm comparing apples with oranges, but IMHO, old school design beats modern hands down.
    200 HP though

    It's just a chubbed-up GSR600. Not that that is a bad thing.

well the gsr600 was based some what on the bking idea, i though that was a really good idea, but was wondering when gonna bring out a big brother, be it with the 1k motor or the busa motor,

    and that day as arrived.

Yeah doubt they would turbo/supercharge a bike, but don't take long and someone will make the bike like suzuki concept designers insvised it would be. Over the top is what is all about tho.

Some more info i have picked up with some google searches
'Suzuki also unveiled their 2007 B-King at the Paris Motor Show. The bike packs an all-new 1350cc inline-four, which is likely to make more than 200 horsepower, stock! This will make the B-King one of the fastest, most powerful naked bikes anywhere in the world, when it goes into production towards the end of 2007.'

I don't much care for the "B-King" name. Perhaps this was chosen because "Wan-King" was taken...

Steve Dundon just came back from the SNZ Dealer meeting, and it's a totally new 1300 motor. It will be used in the new generation Hyabusa as well.
They say it WILL be the most powerful naked bike....and that's what they said when they released the Hyabusa (although the word naked wasn't used of course). They didn't tell porkies then......Bring it on!
