    New biker as of tonight!

Well I just took ownership of my first bike.
Its a 2005 GN250, no its not gonna win any races - but she's a pretty wee black number and will be great for the first year of practice practice practice.
pity its raining! will be taking her to a carpark tomorrow to find my feet with the breaks, clutch etc and practice a little more on the emergency stop etc... then might go for a wee ride or six

Hopefully once i dont feel too self conscious and have got my leet skillz up to par i may see some of you guys on the weekends for a wee ride!

    All the best!

    Sam

On ya matey for getting two wheels of freedom! There's plenty of good Welly crew down there to spot you a hand or a friendly word of advice (just avoid the Colapop monster! )

Ride safe out there and find a mentor to get you out and about!

Good move. It won't be long before you are joining in on rides and rallys.

Have you done the basic handling skills? If not get along and see Andrew and Lynne Templeton at the carpark along Udy st Petone... if you've done it.. as you said practice practice practice.

If you have any questions or want a mentor just ask a question here and there'll be someone who'll help.

Better not ask Col though, he hasn't had a full licence long.
