Found this thread after your post about my holy Ducati.

Fark - that's not nice - if I move a long way (and I'm thinking about it) I think I'll ride the bike there and take the ferry.

So, now to find a decent repair shop in the Porirua to Paraparaumu area and get me a quote.
Name and shame the moving company mate - it's not acceptable

I don't think that this is necessary... as car has said, they were very apologetic & have paid up quickly!!

Accidents Do happen & are legit, & the company has made good of their lack of care, in this case! Good for them!!

Well, they forked out, so it's not so bad. In retrospect, I should have moved the family up, found somewhere to live, then gone back down to Wanaka in a hire van and shifted the stuff myself. No-one cares about my stuff as much as me.

But, failing that, next time I'll just buy a bleedin' trailer for the bike.

That's my take on it. If they'd played the games that my insurers played with me last time then I'd have been happy to drag their name through the mud.
