The true men of this world stand up and be proud. MDU has been a help to me too and has asked nothing in return though maybe a beer when we meet.
Thanks Nigga.

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
Never a true word spoken friend!
Has it occured to you that sometimes that is the best defense against life mate. Friends are the essence of life, they are there for the bad times as well as the good, I also count myself friend to this lovely man, would drop and run in a flash to help him out if he needed it. Put it out there a bit Sarge, and just watch what good shit comes back your way.
Ned you rock!
Good onya guys....
Sarge - Respect and men are never diminished by circumstances. Some of us are born to toil and suffer in life and others breeze it and somedays it just does not seem 'fair'.... And yet I've never met anyone worth a damn that has not had to climb a hill higher than they though they could climb before some misfortune forced them to... Some of those 'hills' turn out to be the foothills of a whole range of mountains and yet the only thing we can do is keep on....
Insiprational post mate - people 'talk' a lot about being a biker or the 'community' and most of em never really know it. Glad to see it still works.
Not only is it harder to be a man, it is also harder to become one.

I was humble once - f*ck I was good at it.
Me too, me too.
I have had some awesome help from the folk on KB from far and wide. Many whom I have never even met or spoken to in real life have been so kind.
So much has been given and nothing asked for in return. It is as a community should be.
I too am humbled.
There is a good bunch of people on here who Dawn and i would call friends. Thats the great part about kiwibiker, you all know who you are. Glad to see things are on the up for you sarge.

I'd just like to say that i am truly touched by this thread .. you know you are among a good group of people when a man can express his feelings and not fear ridicule.
I for one would like to pat both of the men in question on the back and say .. "good on ya mate" ..![]()

just to let everyone in on whats going on...
my son Shelby (14) has been missing since Sunday after an argument we had about catching him in a huge ( dangerous) lie..
he has been seen in Mt. Roskill twice since but scarpers when he sees one of us..
he is small for his age and VERY naive .
he is my life and i am so worried about him. is he safe?.. warm?.. dry?.. hungry?..
he is wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black hoodie..
please call Avondale PD if you see him

Mate ... i say start a new thread and let every biker in Auckland see the photo ... one of us is bound to see him!
Hey bud,
fairly new to kb so have not experianced the friendships that you have, im meeting a lot of kbrs as time goes on & all the ones i meet have been owsome people.
hope you find your son soon, safe & well.
im sure all kbrs will keep an eye out.
keep yer chin up things will get better.
you might know an old saying: climbing hills only makes us stronger.
as my old sarge used to say.![]()
Remember, when somone annoys you that it takes 42 muscles to frown,...
it only takes 4 to muscles to extend your arm and bitchslap the f#%#er upside the head
I understand how you feel Sarge, I have been humbled quite a bit over the last 6 months with the total generousity & friendship that I have experienced from ppl on this site
getting a bike was a pipe dream for me .. & getting an older bike that needed work, & new "friends" helping do the work to get that bike running on the road completely astounded me ..
I too have trust issues .. not so much with friends as you take them as you find them .. they will only get one chance to "betray" that friendship, so far the passion, enthusiam, the support has been in total astounding ...
I have said before that bikers are another breed altogether well done MDU true friends can be hard to find although aquaintances may be many ..
loyalty/trust is something that is precious between friends but long may it last
Have toKarma ... Justice catches up eventually !!
Hadn't checked out the sticky thread yet Sarge so I was shocked to learn about your worries with your son.
I love my kids who are only slightly younger and can imagine how you feel. I'm lost for words.
It'll work out.
And big ups to you for such an honest heartfelt song of praise for MDU. I'd be privileged to meet both of you someday.
Winston
