Maybe that's who the poor bastards are who are trying to call you and you don't pick up - friends who want to be invited to come and visit! BTW - do you HAVE many friends? Christ, if friends arrive at our place and it's not convenient, we offer them a quick cuppa to be polite and explain that we are busy - that's how most people with friends act!

If someone turns up then I will be polite and offer coffee etc and explain I am busy etc... however I was mearly stating that it is rude in my opinion. Not many people have my landline number - only close friends and family so I always answer my landline. Cell phone on the other hand... well thats been on the internet a few times... the blimin Queen could ring me if she really wanted too! hahaha!
