Been thinking that I really can't be without a bike that'll at least get me over the Taka's at a decent speed for too much longer. Been thinking about looking for anothe KR or an RG but am afraid that they'll get blown around too easily. At the moment im borrowing a mates A100 and its awesome. Even in the strong gusts it doesnt seem to get blown around at all really. So im kinda thinkin..... what 2 strokes are around for a cheap ($1500 or less) price that are like the A but is capable of doing at least 110 with no too much effort? I know of the AX100, anything alse?

Anyway.... I am kind of torn as I would like to get into racing. An RG or KR would be good for that reason as when I buy the SV I could just keep it.

Why not just get a cheap late 80's/early 90's 400 or 600? You should be able to pick one up for $1500 and it'd be way less hassle than a 2 stroke.

Surely a KR or an RG would be more solid than `a bike like the A' in crosswinds anyway? Or do the fairings knock it around?

2-stroke strictly necessary? I'd get an old thumper, like an NZ250 (ask Nudemetalz or Deviant) or something like that. Solid enough, 140kph or so, less fuel than a stroker, about $1K or a little more.

Edit: Or if you really want a stroker: Suzuki GT185, or do they have RD200s here?

for the racing join a club that has clubman events, and then take it further from there.

There was an RZ125 and a RD125, but they'd be rare in NZ I would think.

Time to save up some $$'s and buy a girl with some umph!! Get $2K together and U have something that will make U smile. Riding around on 100cc 2 strokes will give you hemorroids.
