Wow.. I hate the wind, good job on making it. I heard on the news that the bridge was closed to Bikers, scary!

I had a close call with a speeding wheelie bin on my way from the parking lot. That probably was the longest commute ever. I kept thinking whether I am going to end up blown to the left over the curb or to the right into oncoming traffic.
DD, wish you a safe ride home. You are in my prayers.

what a gay retard, seen some inconsiderate fuks lately.... Im not riding again till the weather clears, or atleast the wind calms down a bit, I dont mind the rain, its the cross winds that hit my bike n almost carry it away, with me putting all the weight i can on the handles... hopeless almost... take my advise dont ride if u own a descent bike... its not worth the risk...

Anything with a fairing isn't great in the wind.... Going to get a car as an alternative for the real crap days I think....

That was a right laugh... did nearly 100kms today around the city, Manukau, Remuera and North Shore; you guys need to HTFU

About 5pm in the city was the worst, I think -- the wind was bad enough, but having to dodge flying milk bottles (no joke!) whilst stopped (with both feet firmly down) at the traffic lights had me really going.

A lot of fun, actually -- as I said in the other thread, I like weather like this, it keeps the posers off the road -- sharpens you up.

If you just relax and keep the RPM up it's a whole lot easier. Our Wellington friends I'm sure can provide a good education on this.

I'm glad my bike has no fairings, as it's only 125kg dry as it is.

get that darn weight off your bars and onto the pegs... lower the center of gravity.

Yeah everyone seems to act funny when it raining and/or windy... too much water getting in their ears...

Got to say, I was a little disappointed... All the bad looking weather, rode home all expectant around 7.30 (when office was hit in a big power cut), and ended up doing slalom down roads, to have a bit of fun when crosswinds hit me.

Felt like going over the harbour bridge, on a clip on (spesh after I saw the warning from cops) but wanted dinner.

Strong winds but at least the rain kept away. Southern motorway well and truely snarled up (1810hrs). NW empty after Carrington..... 110 all the way to the end.

About the same this morning except less gusts.

Just be careful out there people.........

Yeah the weather was terrible, I wouldn't let pyro ride home in it, even though he works in the viaduct and we live in Mt Albert.
Horrible thing was I was home by myself until 9.30 cause he was working late! We are surrounded by bush and it was banging against the house.. BuFfY was scared!!
