It's good to hear that you've got the licence out of the way , thats one of the three done and dusted, an exemption, well at least your'e talking about a 400 this time not some DOA big bore machine.
So I'm saying it's good to see you are trying to sort through things, but take those steps one at a time and see what happens, you may get exempted you may not, if not lets not hear any complaining, but try by all means.

There is no "should". He just wants to be. Who cares, it's not gonna affect anyone but himself!

    It's 12 months with a defensive driving course - clearly you're not a genius.

It'll mean he can get speeding tickets instead. It's not fucking rocket science.

Is that the absolute truth? Personally I only spent 3 months on my 6R... how could that be?

    Because you're an old man.

As it says in his profile, he's under 25, ergo it reduces it to 12 months.

Clearly you're not a genius either.

Did I ever claim that? At least I don't lie to make myself look good.

I'm 23... 24 in september. If it were a year from now the 3 month thing could be a go... but doesn't change anything, it'll be a year either way!

Were you over 25 when you did the 3 month jobby mikkel?

I'd even be happy with an old (but intact) sports bike... love cruisers but no point getting an underpowered one that has to be revved to shit shit just sit on 110.... can get a big on next year! (still have a little one in the pants though, HA!)

I was 26 by the time I got my 6L... Would have loved to have gotten into it a bit earlier than that, but anything to do with engines (2 or 4 wheels - doesn't matter) is ridiculously expensive in Denmark where I am from.

If you aren't too concerned with age and mileage you can get some very entertaining bikes for little money. E.g. I saw a nice zx9r at a dealer today at just under $7k. That's a lot of bike for the money.

That's a nice price! Mate of mine bought a 2004 zx10r last year for 9 grand, awesome machine! I think a 900 would eb a pretty big leap for me though, if it were a cruiser it'd be alright though I reckon.

Just want a new bike, done my dash on mine, someone else can learn on it. Thinking of getting a legit job (ie non-cash) part time so I can get a loan...

The zx9r I'm talking about is a 1999 with 42,000 kms on the clock. Hardly comparable to a 2004 zx10r, if the 10 was well maintained and sold by a dealer that 9 grand price tag would be crazy.

And yes, I didn't mention it because I thought it would be a good upgrade option for you. It would be a huge leap.
