    MotoTT Track 5, new configuration

We're pleased to announce a new track layout, "MotoTT Track 5"!

The new layout is the brain child of MotoTT director Kevin Ure and adds an exciting new twist to the original track layout. We have all done track 1 so often now that the new chicane freshens up the track day experience. It will challenge the experienced riders skills and smaller bikes will enjoy the new turns. The MotoTT team have been testing the new configuration and will post an on board bike video before the 20th June.

Track 5 adds five more corners to the previous layout. The original tight Track 4 chicane is used after T8. Then back onto a slightly shorter old pit lane straight. Then into the southern sweeper as normal, onto the back straight then into the new MotoTT chicane. This chicane uses the T1 of Track 3 as the entry then a slightly sharper right into an opening left and back onto the main straight.

MotoTT Track 5 will be used at our trackday on the 20th of June. We hope you enjoy this new challenge!

Gonna make things interesting that's for sure. I've never ridden anything other than track 1.

Not so good if you rely on cc to get you past people on the straights

Beauty, that chicane evened up the playing field for the 600's riding in the fast group with 1000cc throttle jockies!

Now I just need to finance a super sweet 600 sportsbike and get back to the track!

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Duuuuuude, 3/4's of the full track is already specifically designed for girls bikes, oops I mean tiddlers, aaargh, I mean 600's/motards, and you want more?

That configuration has removed the two best/ballsy-est corners on the track: T8 L/H sweeper and the R/H-er following it.

It's turned it into a castrated, politically correct, slow corners only, speed limited go kart track just like the short circuit is, each to their own but I won't be signing up for that configuration, I'd prefer to to use more than 2 gears.

That back straight has been a thorn in my side for 12 months so i cant say i agree with ya mate But then i am looking at buying a girls bike huh ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Cheeky bugger, just 'cos I'm not using that ditch digging stunt sprocket you do, haha.

......and what's this "3rd" business you're talkin' about anyway? My bike's only got 2 speed's, slow and slower......

Waddaya mean, you've got 1050cc's worth of British Clydesdales to heave you down that straight, although admittedly your bike has similar aerodynamics.

Don't worry though Bill, you're one of the few blokes who can pull off a 600/675. Just like James Bond can order a martini, Buck Shelford can shave his legs, and Sean Connery can wear a skirt (kilt) and not look effeminate, you could actually get away with it when most others just look like.....like....well, just try ordering a martini in front of your mates and you'll know what I mean.
