here is the vid from the day
MFSC style
What a wicked event!
It was one of the toughest things I've ever ridden, not some much impossible but the fact that every obstacle was straight after each other, no time for a rest or catch your breath.
The log section heading into the skips and then the rocks right after was very challenging. Those damn rock hoppers made it look easy.
It was so cool to see so many people turn up to watch and get in behind it.
Guttered I wrecked my bike 3 corners into my heat and had to sit there watching everyone going past, but also slightly relieved.....
I'm looking forward to the next one already.
Thumbs up for the KB boys who had a go!
Really enjoyed that. Well organised event.
Lets hope it happens next year.
Whether you think you can or cant - you will always be right.
Awesome event. Great fun watching. Respect to all those who had a crack at it. Looked exhausting!
Had to go halfway through.
Can someone post up the results
here are some pics i took

Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
Pfft- didnt get to ride long enough for any lasting damage! was let down by my choice of disposable old bike and the fact that those logs early in the day were as slippery as a buchers prick! They were like ice- in fact yes I know what ice is like! today I took 6 guys from the Dirt Division around the infamous Wires Loop. and until about 10.30 am every wet rock had ice all over its face- but those guys im sure will post up that story in a new thread.
Scott pushed himself to the limit out there, poor bastard!
Daffyd Roberts on the Christini found that two wheels spinning wildly are no better that one.
Full Credit to non KBer - Shaun Prescott on the Husaberg 450. he weighs 116kg and made the semis! but king of the day and the Golden sprocket was well deserved by Rory Meade. he was fluid all day.
Thanks Chris- but especially thanks to members of the Waitamata Motor Cycle Club who were on the infeild getting soaked and soiled and saving our sorry arses.
Retired- just some guy with a few bikes......
Freaking cool event!
You went well Scott, you fully ass'd off infront of me in the second water trough in your last race. Must be hard with the crowd there to get back on and give it shit.
For those who entered, what was the hardest section? The water and rocks looked hard.
What was the best bike to run? I dont want a two vs four debate but i'm just curious, early on with some of the average guys the lighter 125's looked the go but towards the end how some of the guys were riding 450's it was very impressive![]()
so will Birchy still go even thou he didn't win trip?
Congratulation, Chris Birch for Organizing and competing in an awesome event hope to see this happen again.

Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.
Nathan Woods R.I.P.
Yeah, what a great event. Saw a few frames get slightly bent on the edges of the waste binns. Remind me not to buy any bikes used in this event.
Namely one RM125...used by 411.
Was great and big ups to all.
I guess Rory and Chris will be sitting together on the same flight to Austria.
Rooming together as team mates too:Gooo kiwi's:

Only summizing. I estimate that event would have cost 6 figures.
A couple of TV slots gets you 20k for each, plus all the footage Redbull will show all around the world.etc etc.
You tube..Mega publicity.
Chris Birch to Austria, certainly.
Although if he had won they would have saved a few bucks.
Just my take.
