I think Kawasaki were trying to attract the err more effeminate male rider and that is why they painted the kle500 like that cos the klr was way to butch and manly.

Unfortunately Suzuki got the jump on Kawasaki with the release of the DR.

Took me a few seconds to realise it was my beast. Of course that side of it is a completely different shape now.

Did you take that photo so you could pin it to your ceiling bart.?

KL (E, X, Rs)can be made to look "unusual", can't they?
This is Craig Vetters idea for a KLR for when the way is blocked by fallen DRs, busted KTMs, etc

Thanks guys for a great ride.I was blown away coming in from Martinborough, esp up at the summerhill rd intersection, the views were amazing and it felt like the middle of nowhere.
There were a couple of points that i was sure i somehow had strayed onto a farm track, but road markers and the occasional sign kept the faith.
I had cleared the way for you there were HEAPS of cattle and sheep when i cam up.
I was scared I was gonna mmet somone head on on a blind left hander,so was good to come upom you guys having a break.
Pity about the traffic on the hill on the way home, but it was nice in a way just cruising down.
