If no one comes up with anything better for this weekend would anyone be interested in a quiet tootle from Karapoti to the Mungatooks?. It will be horrifically slippery which should make for some interesting photos

If we get a nice day, I might get out and about up this way. Could take a nosey in the Makairo.............. I'll see what the weather's like.

Cant make this weekend as Saturday; I'm busy, and Sunday is the waikanae mid-winter swim

Will be keen in another couple of weeks after people return from the RRRRRRR! though.

I do need to make a quick trip out to place the new tag though. Thinking of a bit of "Urban Adventure riding"

even if Bart does do a "Makairo" assault this weekend I think my 'tweaked' back will prevent me from going. However I don't think it will stop me going through from Param to Karapoti on the DT if the weather is nice on Sat. Maybe head off say 11ish. Lots of latte stops as usual

It will be very slippery (snot clay) - knobbies will be needed if you ever want to see your families again

minus 4 frost here this morning. One of the few mornings I had to go to work early. Wasn't much fun getting up at 5.30. Snow on the hills also.

Anyway, what I was getting to is.......... unless the temperature gets above 10ºC, I ain't going anywhere. If I do the Makairo, it'll be a last minute thing.

With the rain & finishing birthday celebrations a day later() looks like I will be havin an easy day off! Besides I should clean the DR & maybe put a new Reg plate on it before swapping it for my mates DR250 for Monday!
