I understand his brother Neville was no slouch on a bike also.
Last year I was told he held/holds? the record from bridge to bridge over the Takas...Welly folk will know what that means.
Nev's style was a , ahh, a little loose for over there. He didn't do it much, and probably quite rightly ? Dave on the other hand , was a regular and excellent. G.

still remember dave and his brother racing at mansfield and others (holden etc) Great days in my youth travelling to the track from hastings. Wellington motorcycles always had a great team there . glad to see the lasting memories these boys have left us , forever .

Excellent Vid's, Honda did a lot better in 79 with the CBX , the 1980 race promised to be as close as the previous one. Honda & Suzuki, the showdown, no one else came close. Good memories

    Terry Stevenson

Received an Email from Terry today saying that his interview with Dave Hiscock will be in all good book stores soon. Should be a brilliant read if his article on the 'McIntosh' is anything to go by. Email below.

    Hi Mark,
Just a follow-up on your email a while back. I've interviewed Dave and
written a 2 part article about his racing career. This will be in the next 2
issues or so of Bike Rider Magazine.

Feel free to put this on kiwibiker for others to have a heads-up if you
    think it may help.
There were a good many riders around NZ 30 years ago who'd like to know
where Dave's at now, and what he achieved both here in NZ, Australia, and
Europe. And, he was a bloody good rider too. Not forgetting Neville of
    course.

If you do manage to find anyone with photos of Dave or Neville, and any old
Castrol 6 Hour photos, ask them to contact me direct on
    tappit@paradise.net.nz
    Cheers
    Kind regards

Hi Guys check out this website www.kiwiracer.co.nz , I have loaded the 6 Hour video (which we put originally on you tube last year) and also a video from 1983 Wanganui with Dave on the Plastic Fantastic Steve Roberts bike. I have more older stuff coming up.
