shouldn't that be warp factor 10 or have you detuned your bike to 900 cc.

I think it'll end up being a 'who you know' sorta deal where people end up forming into 'trackday club groups' and hiring out the track privately and not making any profit on the day.
... be not insured if you're on a road bike...

Check out the updated pics. Progress! Woohoo!

Ok, didnt have anyhting else to do today so went down to the open day (third one I have attended) to see how the construction was progressing.

We walked the "National" circuit which is completly lime stabilised and has about 80% of the basecourse laid.

All I can say is FUCK MEEEEE!!!!!

Once you start walking it you get more of a feel for the elevation changes, the infeid corkscrew hairpain is going to be insane, especailly given the fact that at the point you want to be on the brakes you are only just seeing the corner as you come over a creast. The front staight looks super steap standing at the base of the hill. This track is going to be AMAZZING!!!!

I talked had a talk with Tony Roberts the managing director who said he had not signed any exclusive deals with anyone in regard to orgainised track days, his words were that the the track was there to be hired by whoever wanted to use it comercial intrest or otherwise (read whoever will pay us money we will be happy to take it).

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Well something must have changed..... Darren Sweetman told me that to my face. What you say must be right and good thing for all. The track sounds awesome...

I just got an email from Honda Rider's Club (I'm not a member, just attended one of their track days in the past) and they've got a couple of track days at Hampton Downs coming up:

Sunday 6 December, Hampton Downs National Circuit
Saturday 6 February, Hampton Downs International Circuit

(also listed on their events page: http://www.hondaridersclub.co.nz/events.asp?PageId=150)

So I guess it's true Hampton Downs Ride Days don't have exclusive rights...

    where is the Yami day???

is it because Yamahas win moto gp and supersport and superbike races this weekend they decide not to let any Yamaha riders get any more practice to let everyone else catch up???

Yea man, got to give the other brands a fighting chance.. Its no fun when Yamaha win's everything from the start. See what Rossi is currently doing? Bet he's getting paid a shit load... or maybe he wants to give his fans something to cheer about. We all know who will win in the end. - The guy who rides a Yamaha.

No, they do. But private groups (like HRC) can hire the track too. HDRD have exclusive rights to run trackdays for the general public.

I Cant get my head around this bit (as per picture)

It seems like the walls on the sides would be a issue if a motorbike rider hit them, not sure which direction the travel is but either direction seems like a issue to me. Hope Im wrong but thats what it looks like is all Im saying
