Yeah we were getting worried eh, discussing turning back... we had no idea where we were, just seemed to go up forever.

Vazza ended up on reserve, my bike would of died if i didnt carry gas
We were completly un-prepared eh... hardly any tools... lucky nothing really broke
The first time I did it that rut part was pretty easy, must be the rain and all the people doing it now that made them so deep. Yeah I was thinking about turning back then as it was so hard going, but after that part it wasn't too bad.

Oo shit yea lucky, that would be the trail you want to take tools on!

dunno... there was a few choices at the bottom and fresh tracks up the ruts so we just went up there.

Seriously hard work getting bikes up there. Rest of it [well, maybe apart from those huge tree roots] was bloody great fun

Never hear this term before, I like it - is this feeding it the fat and jumping off the back?

That was where we got through just as it was getting dark...there was no rut to speak of when we did it but it was a lot less damp. I did that tree root section a bit further on in the dark. Daff told me there was an easy way around it that I thought I missed in the dark, but from what people have said here maybe not.
That commentary in the second video was very similar to what the guys were saying to me but I hadn't done it before either:
"you sure this is the bloody gutbuster"
"you said this would be no problem"
    "f$#kn rocks"
    "Bastard"

How deep were the river crossings? I've been wondering what they get like after heavy rain and how high they get compared to when I did it.

great stuff guys... really cool to get vids and pics of what otheres have been up to especially when it's different riding (not a sandy forrest). that place looks wicked. You guys would love some of the riding here if your into that type of stuff.

Cheeeers Vazza for bothering to get your cam out... much appreciated. the commentary was good too lol... "sweet"

No worries! I'm gonna invest in a helmet cam at some stage. I would have taken more footage of us climbing through the rock gardens etc, but it was fairly hard having completely caked gloves. And the camera was soaked to lol~

Really looking forward to doing gutbuster in reverse, should be sick.
