This is a serious question because I have no idea why not many women like to ride! Most of the girls my age that I have met don't seem to think riding is all that cool.
The latest stats from the LTA show:

    - Females make up 11% of the current 110,000 registered motorcycles in New Zealand

    - 26% within the 11% of females ride motorcycles over 751cc

    - Females make up 17% of serious motorcycle crashes

If you want to see more about motorcycling from the female perspective check out the ladies column Heels On Wheels every month in the Motorcycle Trader magazine or email your thoughts and feedback to heelsonwheels@motorcycletrader.co.nz

Would this include those who are pillion and are involved in a crash, because in pretty sure the majority of pillions are female and may not have thier licence but could be added to the 11%

You need to come to a CD"s track day, there are more female riders attending every year. Our last one was buzzing with chicks who ride, you would be surprised who attends the day and are fellow KBer's, which is very cool

And Sarge is right there are heaps of chicks up here in the Manawatu that ride
4 wheels move the body, 2 wheels move the soul & sidecars are a shit load of fun!
