Last time I saw a German helmet was in a public toilet in Munich on the end of a huge German bloke called Heinrich, he was very proud of his custard chucker and insisted on waving it around muttering something like "look at zis, ich bin immense, yah" or something like that.

90 minutes later England had beaten them 5-1 and Michael Owen scored a right Jacobs (Cracker).

So, a german helmet on someones head conjours up pictures of exceedingly bad porn...but each to their own I suppose...

It makes me laugh when I see the Mongrel mob or Black Power wearing swasticas ,iron crosses, german helmets and saluting "seig heil".
They obviously have no idea of history cause old Adolf would have had them shipped off to a concentration camp quick smart:....he wasnt too keen on dark skinned people..weird:

Back in the late 80's we were at a 21st piss up in Ngaruawahia when a whole bunch of local bikers turned up.No problems as they were invited and well known by the party holders, however my gf of the time and her mate couldn't get over the "shiney potties" a couple of the the younger guys were wearing.Being three sheets to the wind they of course weren't very discreet or subtle in their comments.(Read "WHAT THE FUCK HAVE THOSE GUYS GOT POTTIES ON THEIR HEADS FOR")
We managed to convince them that" shutting the fuck up" was a better alternative
PS.That gf is know my wife and has got me into and out of many strange situations since.

Some of the reason they wear them is aural. Harleys sound phatter in them.
    Maybe they like the look.
And some people like them because it pisses other people off enough so that they complain about them on the internet.

I'm not a hat guy. I look like Sgt Shultz in one.

Can you actually get Darth Vader helmets? I would SO have one of those. Uber-cool.

If I had a Darth Vader helmet I could join the BMW Owners Club (cos I can) and turn up in the DV helmet and watch them all snuff it from apolexy

If you did a whip-round you could probably sell tickets and fund the purchase of said Darth Vader helmet quite easily!

Found a link saying something about 100 being produced at some point, couldn't see anywhere else quickly though.
