Historically you are completely correct. However Hells Angels et al don't wear german army-style helmets to celebrate the Wermacht. I doubt they could spell it.Of course the Waffen SS wore these helmets too.
History is dynamic and over time meanings change. After WWII anything german military became synonomous with Nazi. Not to collectors of course. German Nazi = bad -> wearing regalia was a way of giving the finger to the rest of society.
Which is exactly what wearing the helmet is trying to achieve. 1%er. I doubt its very effective these days anyway.

Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.
Thank you for pointing that out, however, isn't this yet another case of the minority shitting it up for the majority?

I don't wear a German helmet when I ride.........If I did, then it would be my choice....the same as choosing to have tattoos or not....or to wear leather or not......fuck the list could go on for ever...........lets just say "individual choice" and fuck what ever anyone else thinks.
Small minds already do too much thinking for the masses.

The prussian Pickelhaube was much much cooler... Besides, Otto von Bismarck kicked way more arse than Adolf ever did! Albeit, he was slightly less controversial...
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Of course, the Germans weren't the only ones in the Axis.
I wouldn't mind a helmet that looked like one of those Italian Army ones, with the fancy plume and all.
(EDIT: I see that they actually rode motorbikes wearing them. So there y'go. Precedent. No idea what the bikes are )

Of course everybody is assuming that said helmet is unsafe to use on the road because??

Perhaps not.I think it's actually called the "BMW Owners Register".
Friday I saw a kid, maybe 10 or 12, wearing a coal scuttle helmet on a pushbike with hugely extended forks.
He probably thought he looked cool, I thought he looked a tosser. (You can choose your own cliche.)
