But yeah, any kind of "statement" or look at the expense of function will make one a cocksucker in my eyes. One may not care, one probably isn't trying to impress me anyhow.

A German helmet makes the appropriate "statement" about the wearer all by it's self as far as I'm concerned

Of course I don't feel the urge to tell the gear challenged riders that they are idiots - they are adults and can do what ever the fuck they want, my opinion isn't their problem. Of course if they have an off then they might have a bigger problem - but that is the risk they are taking, no my problem.

I guess I am content to let other people do what I think is fuckin' stupid and in return I would like them to leave me to do what I want, even if they think it is fuckin' stupid.
Some would say only an idiot would ride a motorcycle. But a Bergman, gotta be a bigger one! Do you wear full leathers and boots or just a cape and leopard skin leotard?

Another thing that people should be aware of is that even though there are traders on Trademe selling these helmets as legal to use in New Zealand the DOT safety standard that they refer to only applies to helmets manufactured and purchased in USA - not China.
