Yep & you never know it might actually start if you stall it hot this time.

If it does start real well, then it's shaping up to be a weapon, never heard anyone complain about last years handling, starting now that was a problem .

It's damn light to, 103kg kerb weight from memory.

Just googled your 06 cr250. It states the the kerb(wet) weight of yours to be 104.8kgs. So your 2stroke is heaverier fueled ready to go, than a 4stroke!

I'd like to ride a efi one to see what differance it made.

Hmm the spec you got on the CR is wrong Rupe.

I weighed my CR with the scales from work for shits and giggles and its 102.8KG, so if the new CRF is 103, it is heavier. And the 06 CR is 100g heavier than the 04 so Sams one should be about 102.9. So its is less than the new CRF.

    LOL!!!

maybe stale fuel is lighter, or you were a 200ml of fuel short! 103kgs is what the internet states, maybe thats wrong, maybe your work scales would weigh the crf lighter. And maybe there's fuck all in it, and maybe no one really cares.

It is a nice bike though and I'd like one......the heavier crf.

I'd have one, just not fill the tank right up on it!! LOL

Its a dam nice looking bike. I don't think it looks bland at all. if you think it was bland, graphics would sort that.

when the diff is under 1 kilo I think you are splitting hairs to be honest, there are good reasons to argue 2/ vs 4/, but kerb weight isn't one of them anymore to my way of thinking ( 250 2/ vs 250 4/ ).

A number of guys I ride with are going back 2/, but I reckon until they sort out the emissions like the envinrude outboards, 2/ is effectively stalled technology, though I think they will sort it out & we are probably at or near the peak of 4/ in the battle against 2/ ( numbers of 4/ bikes vs 2/ ).

Maybe it'll be the Chinese who make the 2/ breakthrough, for some reason the Japs are head in the sand about 4/ issues.
