    yup thats about right, the uk was flooded with them in the late 70`s to early 80`s MZ and another though they looked like the same mould a CZ
    ride for freedom, ride safe, ride for me, and all the other bikers no longer able to ride

    There was a jawa badged MZ. I worked for the NZ MZ importer at one stage but luckily by the time I started they were getting out of them.

    I posted the photo on 2 of the international Blackbird websites out of sheer curiosity. The lines of debate were remarkably similar to here but the closest was a CZ 175 from the late 60's or early 70's. It had a raised horizontal ridge on the back of the gearbox, fully-enclosed chain on the correct side and the tank was virtually identical. The knee cut-outs were a slightly different shape though. Guess we'll never know but thanks for the fun

    Honda Cousteau 66 .....250 breast stroke engine......carbs were prone to flooding.

    To me it looks like one of the many variations of Puch sold as Sears and Allstate brands in the US. Mid to late 60's. Can't be bothered figuring out exactly which one.

    Better go take another look at his then. The cylinder on the B points forward, and the carburetta is on the side, not the back.

    Yep- guard that cherry- or your uncle is very skilled at moving chain drives from left to right.
