    Bike DT's

Anyone else suffering from chronic DT's through not geting their weekend fix on their motorbikes.

    The weekends have been shit

Not been out for nearly 5 weeks. Too much work during the week and when I get a chance to ride in the weekends, the weathers just shit.

I'm no pussy by the way. Just don't like heading out in the rain. If it's fine when I leave and I'm caught in it, then that's different but just wanting to go for a ride in fine weather so you can enjoy the corners is getting a bit scarce this winter.

I might add I'm getting a little pissed off if you get my drift.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Darned shame! I "have" to ride mine every day to work... 46km each way... "Unfortunately" I "have" to take the scenic route along the waterfront, too... Having to breeze past all the cars stuck in traffic...

    I tells ya, it's a chore...

When I'm not riding my bikes,I'm working on them.Been fiddling with the R65 for a month,I'll finish it off tomorrow and go for a ride sunday - rain or shine. It must be boring owning a flash bike you can't pull apart and put together a few different ways.

A trackday's worth a month of weekend road riding.

Just like me. A weekend Rider but I need dry roads for that 'full' enjoyment factor . Going crazy with this wet winter.

Nah. Not for me JR. Done years of track days and really enjoy each one, once I've gone through the effort to get to the track. But nothing still beats that weekend buzz. More accessible I suppose. Track days take time and travel. Whereas, a sudden burst of sunshine on the weekend and whoppee, disappear for an afternoon on your favourite roads - hard to beat that instant fix.

Oh look, as I type the sun is breaking through the gloom!! Time to go...

I havent been out for 2 weeks, last ride was to Whakatane. Came back on the Sunday, nearly got biffed by a dickhead pulling out of a driveway in Bethleham & got caught in a hailstorm just south of Katikati...shit was i cold.

Nup. Little jobs/trips here and there require something to be picked up or dropped off. Last week I managed to fit a driveshaft (a little one) in my backpack!! Woohoo off to vegas on teh bike - dry road to boot!!

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
