Seems a bit silly to spend time on something, yet nobody wants a better than normal example. I may take the fairing off, but it won't have the standard single headlight on as I don't have it.
I will re write the listing, if anybody has anything that they genuinely think would be good on the listing please PM me. I'm not the greatest salesman.

    One word: finance.

I tried to sell my 250 for almost a year. I wasn't asking too much for the bike as such, but the customers I were targeting (young guys wanting a nice 250 sportsbike) just didn't have the disposable cash to spare.

I went to a dealer who sold it on behalf - I dropped it off on the friday, it was sold and everything had been sorted by wednesday. Finance was what made the difference - my auction reserve on trademe was 4,500 the dealer sold it for 6,000.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

My advice is remove all the details from your description.
Just tell people the carbs are dialed in and bike runs smooth.
Let them ask you about things rather than bulk up your auction.
    Word your fairing mod as
Front fairing installed for extra wind protection.Easy mod back to stock.
Tell people how well they handle and how much fun the bike has been.
mention low maintence reliable learner bike then leave it at that.

good luck the price seems good for a 250.Dont drop you dollars.Your waiting for the right buyer not the bottom dollar buyer.
Someone who wants your bike will buy it at that price.

another grand is an age away for a 17-18 year old buying his/her first bike.
His market is the cash buyer .At 3grand plus 250 buyers walk into bike shops and sign hp agreements.

Nail on the head. Not only is it about finance it's also a maturity thing. A first time buyer is inexperienced (in most cases) & will (again in most cases) feel more comfortable with the fall back you get when using a dealer.

Also don't forget there is a recession on if you haven't picked up a paper in a while, the worst in 70 years

Agreed. Market it for what it is - a super reliable, easy to ride learner or commuter bike, that is dead cheap to run, feed, and fix, complete with good sound and looks as a bonus. The chix will be lining up for that right away.

"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Or you could try to wake up and smell the coffee there is a recession on at the moment do ya think this might possibly have some bearing on why it is hard to sell things?
