1998 kx 500 rear shock required

1998 KX 500 rear shock required or does any one know of a after market option that could be used?

The bit that is cracked is on the very bottom of the shock where it attaches to the linkage right across where the screw is that adjusts the rebound.

I have an option of getting a second hand kx 500 1988 rear shock but unsure weather the bottom bits are compatible. Can anyone help???

    something possibly worth considering,

what would it take to construct a new part for someone in the engineering industry

chuck up some pics of the damage, ive got acces to some fandangled equipment, and a mate reconditions car shocks, so id be willing to take a crack at fixing it if it aint too buggered. Gotta keep the big two strokes going, theyre an endangered species ya know.

Well apparently they are due for a comeback with this low pressure direct injection guff. But they wont have the old school tickle your smell sense nicely emissions of the two strokes of old.
