..hopefully coming close to shelling out some coin, the wrench of my house rebuild should only be a temporary stay of expenditure :

Had a nose at an MT-01 today, no time for a ride but what a great sounding rumble.

Yeah AllanB the standard pipes are a bit over the top for me, smaller, less baffling and to look less like an Amesterdam spliff would be good. I assumed the engine is a female 'cos it sure was a turn on.

So went for a quick ride on the 86 VFR 750 I have in the garage (not mine it's a friends bike, it's for sale) out the back roads to Wellsford way. Great weather and a good way to clear the cobwebs. Home before the Friday freak-drive.

Better buy a Lotto ticket tomorrow..

The new black and gold R1 is wicked eye-candy but.....

Well, well, well aint it funny how a week or two can alter a course of thought. Yep I still want an MT-01, but in the meantime until I can pay for a brand spanking new one.......

    just bought an R1

Always lusted after the R's ever since my first visual drool years ago. O.K. so it's not the 2009, but an '02. Getting it trucked up from way down south this coming week. Helmet and gear just about all finalised (after too many dirt bike soil samples over the years, I've learned the benefit of wearing the best protection you can get, expensive, no...cheap).
Not exactly a calm reintroduction to road bikes after a couple of decades off, but hopefully my brain has matured like a block of cheese. Gently does it for a wee while. Mind you haven't even seen the bike in the flesh yet. But already the spot in my Toy room has been sorted, nice soft carpet, alongside the YZ and TTR, aint that right lovely

..now even before the bike is in my sweaty hands, time to search online for colourful bangles baubles and beads to make her mine.

Time for a celebratory , cheers!

Can hardly wait for the bike - then will take many pics Bardman after a thorough polishing of course
Sounds like it might take nearly two weeks to get here from south island I want it NOW. How am I supposed to get a good nights sleep for the next two weeks, I now remember what the addiction was all about

    "Excellent" (Bill & Ted)

I'm a definite Yamaha fan and have been for many years, even my 'toy room' a.k.a carpeted garage (cages are not allowed in ) has a big Yamaha sign or two by the YZ's (oh and the 4 phase security system, chains, alarm, 12 gauge streetsweeper , and ...well if those three don't work the last one sure will, ). Blah blah, my question is about the leathers.....

Matching genuine (blue/white) Yamaha leathers, or something like Alpinestars or Rev-it?

Helmet is Arai Chaser in blue (Pedrosa?)

Boots...the Alpinestars Stella S-MX 5 seemed to fit nicely..

    What, what,...what ???

Nothing screams homosexual like matching leathers - unless your bike happens to be black.

Aw sheez, I've a black Honda and I have matching black leathers. I do have a red/black/silver helmet though!

I always thought that itchy feeling in the bum was hemorrhoids, but are you telling me it's like an anus boner?

Please share your experience in these matters - I'm now worried.
