a diving buddy of mine bought PINK fins and goggles etc etc - figured he could leave his gear unattended on the beach and no one would touch them - he was right, so maybe painting a bike PINK was be a deterent ??

I have heard of a similar tale - a mechanic had people borrow tools and not return them, so he bought some pink tools to use as loaners, since then when he loans tools they are always returned to him.

Mate was at Cherry Island in Taupo at the cafe. The bike was parked over the other side of the footbridge and while eating we heard a splash. Went and looked and some asshole had thrown his helmet and gloves into the Waikato river. It had gone downstream by the time we got there. Mate had to go and buy a new helmet to get home.

Nothing bike related stolen from me (touch wood!)

Had my home broken into about three years ago and stuff stolen (laptop, camera, bits & pieces). I lived on my own at the time so it was a bit disturbing to come hiome & find the door smashed in and all my clothes strewn around the floor with great muddy footprints on them.

The nice policeman came around the same day and I showed him the footprints all over my clothes to help him catch the offender. He said, "This isn't CSI madam!" LOL

Also had a holiday bach broken into and they took everything including every stick of furniture, my gumboots, plastic buckets, right down to the last bar of slightly-used soap. I have never seen a place look so empty!

A couple of weeks ago my brother's car was stolen fromoutside my place. It was found up the road a couple of weeks later with the brake hose cut.

lol, cops got bootprints off our flat when we got robbed, maybe your ones are a bit lazy.

Cut brake hose is a little bit disturbing, hope the cops took that seriously.

I have been terribly lucky so far, nothing of mine has been stolen. I remember I stupidly left my keys in the ignition once...Fortunately I didn't have to learn the hard way not to do that.

I forgot my two great looking gloves on top of my bike today in a busy carpark...for 9 hours

they were both there untouched when I finished work

have also left my key in my bike like that many a time, and my bike has always been untouched. I hope it is all the good I'm doing to the world that comes back to me this way

I had over half of my Bonsai collection stolen a few years back. A few days later the cunt came back to steal the rest and was disturbed by the dog and I got a number plate. We had been on holiday the first time he came onto the property, dick was useing his wifes car. Anyway reported said loss to Mr Plod who duly showed up five days later at the perps house.............needless to say not a sign of my trees.

Thirty odd years of work went into this collection and disappeard overnight.

I still get realy pissed off when I think about it.
