Ain't the 250 & 300 same chassis?? If you want light you'd have to go to the 200 which is the bigger motor in the 125 frame??

yeah, am thinking the battery and starter etc on the later 300s would add a bit. I think the 250s don't have elec start till 09?? could be wrong maybe they still don't have it??

Looking to get a KTM myself, either a 250EXC-F or 200EXC....just need to sell my road bike.

I think the 250 two stroke EXC got the eletric start only just now (2010 model). The '09 I rode with a few months back did not have an e-starter anyway. KTM do make mid season changes sometimes though, like "Six Days" releases for instance...
