Thanks for the reminder.
My GP and I have been doing this regularly now for some years. Oh to think how shy and uptight I was at the start. Our relationship has blossomed to a point where I am now receptive to foreplay.

"Standing on your mother's corpse you told me that you'd wait forever." [Bryan Adams: Summer of 69]
Hi I had blood tests done and they have a standard figure of 3 or 4 I think it was, and mine was 5. I then waited 6 months and had another blood test which had doubled over the 6 months, so then it was off to a specialist and got the finger treatment which found out that the prostate was enlarged to about the size of a walnut which is not good. the next step was a biopsy where they put a machine up your bum and fire little shots at the prostate and took 12 small samples then the wait to see if it is cancer. Luckily I was all clear, if it had not been ok they were going to take the prostate out altogether. The Surgeon told me that the number on the blood test would have to be at least 100 before it is likely to get to the stage where you could die from it. Vern![]()
The PSA test found cancer where the finger didn't. Having a base line of PSA tests made it obvious a biopsy was required. From then it was history as posted here: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...post1129404122 .
In a week I should be back on the bike.![]()
Here for the ride.
You know what I think?
Meh...
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
Men it's a finger ffs lol.And if it saves your life what's the problem. If I sound annoyed well maybe if I wasn't so friggin pig headed and seen a doctor I wouldn't have ended up with a tumour in my bowel, and almost killing myself through lack of check-up.Not good when in hospital on operation day 17th October to have surgeon say if you'd left it longer we couldn't have done much, and probably be dead by xmas.
Actually when you've had a camera down your throat(no aneasthetic, just numbing spray)and also up your arse(with anaesthetic),you kind of leave all modesty at the door. And crappy part was prior to surgery I was given an enema, out of all the physical testing that was worse for being uncomfortable.
Having known guys with prostate cancer the overwhelming thing is the initial test is simple the waiting for results is tough. An uncomfortable test for sure, but in context of life time of good health very simple.
As nike say "Just do it" for your family and friends sake.
