    I'm addicted to this shit.
Oi Carver! Drag ya homo arse back into this thread and wind it up more.
I don't think the twentysomethings are fighting for your "rights/freedom/and all round cockheadesness'' enough.
The old fulla's(and Fulla'resses) are kicking their arse in argument.

This is insane! (haven't read any of this thread yet but the title is enough to form my opinion). Some poor girl with a 6 week old baby lost her partner and provider under tragic circumstances... there is already a thread set up so we can make financial contributions and Carver is asking for donations to pay a fine for doing some stupid trick that's been done before. I would consider making a small contribution, $20-$50 to FIGHT the charges in court (because the one thing crazier about this thread is the fact that someone can't do something on public property causing ZERO damage and if nothing else actually creating positive publicity for a city that has just been labelled "boring" by a high-profile visitor). But there's no way I'm going to encourage Carver's short-sighted hijinks. I strongly encourage you all to do the same.

EDIT: Ok, just been informed that the request is for legal aid. Fair enough. I'll make my contribution after I've donated to the other, needier cause. You better not fucken waste it buttering up Sidewinder for a root though Carver. Serious.

Still waiting for an account no....pm me

IMO defending a frivilous charge brought by the police for a person pulling of a successful stunt (or even if not successful) is a bigger picture issue than Carvers well being. I am saying the namby pamby cotton wool state is going to far....next there will be no fishing cause you may drown, no tramping cause you might get lost and put rescuers at risk, no surfing cause you may get in trouble and put the life savers at risk....etc.

Dangerous driving and disqualification? I think Carver has proven himself more in control of a motor vehical than 99 % of road users..(Maybe a little less than the sensibility of 99% of the road users, but then thats not what this is about)

I do tend to agree with those who say face up to it without beating around the bush...I just hope the Judge has enough sense to see that a prosicution/conviction is not in the public good.

I think the way to go would be the circumstances around it and actually contest the dangerous side of things - who was the victim?
People jump out of aeroplanes and skydive - they dont get taken to court!

Johno have you been done for dangerous/careless/reckless before? If not, diversion could be a way to go.

Definately seek legal help, you gotta have a mate of a mate somewhere who can give you some advice before spending $$ trying to defend.
trust me, i have spoken to a lawyer well before this has even been done.
I have no real history with the police
I will have the best lawyer, and i am not bothered about the cost.
i have been questioned, and refused to say anything.
i cannot say too much on here, but my last statement says a lot if it was so black and white

I actually admire you Carver for your two-wheeled expolits. Some of it's pretty ghey, but overall......

The fact remains that there are people being prosecuted in this country, sometimes with the same charge even, for shit they themselves didn't do. That, in my somewhat biased opinion, is more of an issue than you being charged for something you may have actually done, with some planning and forethought even.

You told me earlier that you got legal advice. There's a good chance that this advice was based on whether you could be convicted, rather than charged. This issue has also become political, what with the media attention. Sometimes too one reaps what they sow.

The po-po seem to be able to throw DD charges at anyone they like, it's then up to you to pay to defend it. This sucks if you didn't do it in the first place, trust me.

I wish you luck in defending the charge, I'm all for a bit of fun. The reality is though, that in this society you have to play by the rules or take the consequences. You got bad advice my friend.

I really dont care, take your shit fight elsewhere.
Shall I go post negative, harsh, insulting shit in other donation threads? Oh No I couldnt do that, and no-one would stand for it.

    Go play tough guys elsewhere.

    Faggots.

If ya jump out a fucking aeroplane where you are not meant to then you go to court. If you ride a motorcycle over a bridge you go to court. If you jump off a bridge and dont die you go to court. If you decide to drive your car over the edge of a cliff and jump out at the last minute and get caught...you go to court. It stops like minded idiots from doing it again.

If you told the police I want to do this stunt. Proved it was not too dangerous. Got permission, closed off the road and did it then bloody hurrah, good on ya.
