How'd the 6 hour go? Was it this weeknd or next?
Was this weekend, I'm completely fecked! over 24hrs later and I still cant lift my arms up properly. Turns out 150kg is a bit much for an event like that
Will post some photos that katie took on thursday once we get our broadband back (ran out of MB or sumthing like that).

GO BRO GO
I did 4 1/2 laps, don't ask about the 1/2
Andrew's bike wasnt' ready after being stripped following the aust safari so he was there with katie as my support crew - CHEERS JAVAHEAD
The Twisted Pair seemed to have a good day but i'll let them tell their story.
If anyone knows of any good deals on a sub 110kg mx/xc bike i may be interested![]()

GO BRO GO
Was a top day!!! Awesome riding. 25km lap, we did 4 laps each, with Nordie starting his 4th lap at 5h58m.
Team Twisted Pair won the longest-time-for-a-first-lap award, at around 3x the fast guys.
The mighty 30 year old Honda went very well, with the brakes being the weak link... or perhaps one could say missing link!Made for very conservative downhills because they all terminated in a steep rough drop-off back onto the forestry roads (ie at right angles). Had to be a bit circumspect about the brakes, and as the day wore on and the speeds picked up, it took a lo-o-o-ong time to stop for the 1st gear corners at the end of the faster 4th/5th gear forestry road sections.
Front suspension was outstandingly good, rear not far behind (ha ha!). The gearing was a bit of an issue; on most of the steep uphills it would top out 2nd gear then fail to hold 3rd, and on the steepest uphill about 2/3 around it topped out 1st but wouldn't hold 2nd. Very forgiving bike to ride vs the 200 2T, it just tractors up anything even at idle in first gear where the 200 would be alternating between wheelspin and wheelie (and stall).
I passed several bikes that don't count: the Shineray XGY200 thingy, topo when he was touring with cramp, a KLX(?) with a rider in a road/adv jacket, and a few quads - both up and down hill. There was really very little traffic. The only real battle I had was late in the day with a Honda CRF....450 (I think - single muffler job, all the CRF250s are twin mufflers??). He was slightly quicker on the roads once I passed him the first time, but he couldn't sustain the pace so I chased him down again and passed him a second time under brakes into another 1st gear uphill cornerThe first time was because when he got on the brakes, I had to go up the inside to avoid hitting him
and I think he was as stunned as I was - him for being passed by a 30yo bike, and me for getting the bike to actually stop in time
. The second time I think he was surprised to see me there... again... and didn't put up a fight.
Bizarrely I caught him a couple of times on the technical downhills... that's just plain wrong.
Did I mention how much fun it was!!!![]()

The first hillclimb was a Km or so in and when I got there the logjam was 30-40 odd bikes at least. Topo had got through (just) and from then on noone got through for 10 mins.
Quads were rolling as they tried to turn and squishing riders and bowling 2-wheelers
Next time I'm racing with a camera.
I spent over half an hour at the bottom of that hill before I got a chance to try it and got up 1st go.
The fast guys were blasting up the hill, lapping us, when we were still waiting for it to clear. I copped a supersonic softball sized rock a glancing blow off the chinpiece from one of them.
1hr 40min for my 1st lap
My last lap was my best though...
Quads and 2-wheelers littering the track right from the start. One guy killed his quad half way up a technical climb and sat beside it (and under it out of the sun) for the whole race...
Only one arsehole passing manouver the whole race and it was 50m from the walking pace only pits where the guy just bashed into the side of me before dropping down the last bank.
A good fun day.
Apparantly at the prizegiving Sean Clarke mentioned catching up to a twinshock XR250 and the XR getting the drive out of the corner and beating him to the top of the hill
A good chance I wasn't riding it then...
