so if there is no charge to defend, why are you asking for money for a defence fund?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

"" Hamilton police Sergeant Phil Ruddell told the Waikato Times the footage showed "motor vehicles were driving across the bridge at the time the rider was on the arches and it clearly shows people walking underneath the arches on the footpath". ""

The crime there is that they didn't pay to watch.

    Poice charge rider

Since I haven't seen it posted....

    The sequel

So should he be charged or not. Personally I think not and Hamilton City who own the bridge I assume can gain a fair bit of mileage in free advertising off the video if they linked up with the rider and had a Hamilton City / Bridge Stunt youtube video.

A lost opportunity. I did ring the city marketing person to suggest it but they don't return phone calls it seems.

    Hero or Potential Killer?

There is a point that appears to be being missed here...

A lot of people are saying "no-one was hurt, so whewre is the problem"?

The problem is that people were clearly put at risk. Imagine the scenario that a family of four were wandering obver the bridge (or driving over it) at the time of the "stunt" and were killed when the bike/rider landed on top of them.

Would we all be saying Carver is a "hero" then???

What if someone else tries the same thing having seen the publicity and innocent people get killed? Should Carver take some respnsibility?

If the thing had have been properly organised and arranged so that the only person that could have been killed was Carver, then I would have a lot more sympathy..

As for the request for funds - I will put it in the same recepticle as some others I have seen:

    • "Jonesey" has crashed his bike. Help him fix it.
Later fround that jonesy was riding a 1100cc bike on a restricted licence...

    • Terrible bike design causes crash
Later found that bike snapped in half at the steering stem at 160km/h and that the rider 'loved pulling wheelies".

Carver, you enjoyed your 5 minutes of fame and were basically ASKING and BAITING the cops to prosecute. You put innocent people's lives at risk without asking them or considering them. Now is the time to man up and pay the price...

The police are absolutely correct to prosecute this case....

Carver - why don't you donate your defence fund to the young girl and baby in the young death - donations thread. The bank account is there to find.

She'll be struggling the next couple of weeks. And she could use the help. Pay it forward like.

Next time you do a public stunt on public roads (if ya haven't blown it already)

Ask for stunt funds from peers before hand, so you can set the stunt up right.
Get quotes for ambos - get permission to close roads, get media - do it right next time.
