    Ahhhh...... NO.

The regrind people said "yeah mate we can re-sleeve that, no worries" so I got a standard piston.
Took the piston and bore to them 2 weeks ago and went in friday to see how it was getting on........
them..... "nah mate we're not happy about re-sleeving that, can you get an oversize piston ?"
me..."Ummmmm yeah, so this $600 + piston is now an ashtray ?"
    them ...."yip"
me.... "ah well, people pay more for art which just sits about and does nothing I suppose"

Why can't they resleeve it?? Is the liner cast into the barrel ? that can be difficult
    seems odd to me

Yes, the liner's cast into the barrel, if they bore it out the wall will be toooo thin and could lead to other problems.
I have the details of people in Christchurch who MAY be able to do something with it BUT they may take a look and decide they can't do it either.and goddamn it I want to ride a bigger Big, oversize it is

I wondered that, the problem is the liner is not smooth on the outside but is sorta finned and it is best to bore all the cast iron completely away. I have resleeved a few and left the cast iron bits in their and never had problems but I don't really recommend it.
