Whib's got third this weekend which gives him a 23 point lead going into the last race, Whib's needs to get 13th or better in the last race to win. So good Luck !!!.

Adam Reeves had a rough day with flat tires

Jason Davies went real well, getting 15th overall ( 9th in XC1 Pro ).

The real shocker of the weekend though is Shane Watts who's in really bad bad shape, had a nasty off a few days back, collapsed a lung & his back is not in good shape, not paralysed but pretty damn close. 3 fractured vertebrae & some chips resting on the spinal cord was what I heard.

Oh photo's to come, sitting in Pittsburgh airport, my flight has been delayed so got an overnight in DC, I'll try & get some up once get there.

Race Report: St Clairsville GNCC Round 12
    Rider: Paul Whibley
Team: JG Offroad, GEICO, Monster Energy Kawasaki
    Bike: Kawasaki KX450f
    Result: 3rd

The 12th round of the GNCC series was held at St Clairsville OH. Last year this race was unbelievably dusty with several feet deep powder in some sections of the track. This year however rain leading up to the event dampened down the clay soil and the dreaded dust was non existent. The Quads dried the track out on Saturday and packed it down to a shinny slippery surface in a lot of places.

I got a good jump off the line but got pushed a little wide and was mid pack round turns one and two. Seen some pretty crazy crashes on lap one as some guys were getting caught out by the difference in traction on the hard pack. Through the first lap I steadily moved up and was second behind Josh Strang although he had started to make a break for it before I got into the number 2 spot. Josh had set a fast pace and I was trying hard to close the distance but was struggling.

The other Team Suzuki rider Charlie Mullins was behind me and a good race began with us changing positions several times through the mid part of the race. He got the upper hand on me when I washed the front end out in a soft turn. I got going again and was making up ground when I went down again. I wiped out after jumping the mud hole twisting the forks in the clamps. By the last lap I was getting the signal to take third place and settle for some good points.

Obviously third was not were I wanted to be but Josh and Charlie both rode great. I lost a few points to them but I am still in a strong position going into the final in Crawfordsville in a couple weeks were I will be looking to get back to that top step of the podium.

    Results
    1st: Josh Strang
    2nd: Charlie Mullins
    3rd: Paul Whibley

I'd rather an XR6, but still it had the looks & held the road ok, anyone who complains about NZ roads should have driven the back roads from St Clairsille to Pittsburgh, I had the Camaro damn near airborne & some evil off cambers & drop offs ( yeah I am talking tarseal road here ).

    Yeah, some great pics Nige.

Whibs would have been pretty pleased to see you. Although he would not be overly emotional, lol.

Not overly emotional no, but happy & relaxed, just look at the photo with him grinning on the startline, his mechanic is a good bloke to.

I talked to the husky manager & everyone seems to hold him in extremely high regard, which is great.

By the looks of the Husky set up they seem to be doing this on the cheap (bound to generate a reply?)

they all were a bit like a compared with last year, the grid looked like 2/3 the size of the race I saw last year.

More pro's this year in XC1 though
