I'll be in Taupo over the weekend. I will pop a few of these about the place. Maybe you guys can use them yourselves - although I reckon you've got it covered.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Awesome pics DJ, Good you see you again & say hi to your wife

Well we really had no idea on how many ppl would turn out yesterday and leaving with around 30 odd bikes was a good number. Having some of the public there to send us on the way & show their support was appreciated, After all the proposed changes to ACC affects more than the biker community.

I know we were picking up the odd bikes at Otaki, Waikaene and pram but to look in my mirror going down the motorway & seeing a sea of bikes behind me was fantastic so we grew to an estimated group of 60+ riders

What a fantastic bunch of bikers, who really got into the spirit of the day and rode with that in mind

having the police assistance stopping traffic to get out on the main road was totally appreciated and we will be having a meeting before the main bikeoi event to sort out best way to get this sorted with a much larger group.

did some timed stops to hit red lights so most of the group got through apart from all the lights at mana, however we will be making enquires to keep the T2 lane open on the 17th although papakowhai is only just down the road at that point

had some really good feedback from the slow rider group & very experienced riders at the back, so thank you for that .. overall the group managed to stay together, did not piss off the cagers (apart from one) and visably looked extremely impressive

Bogan did a timed run from Palmerston to Levin in 37 mins

and from Levin to Papakowahi at less than legal speed, with no overtaking in the group took exactly 1 hour ..

so looking good for the bikeoi

Again thank you to everyone who turned up yesterday and see you again on the 17th

Mrs R senior counted 42 bikes going around the pub corner, so we did a bit better than 30, so I was bloody pleased.

Heaps of great public feeedback, as I was at the back, I saw most of what was going on. In Otaki a woman was standing on the side of the road with a big "GO BIKERS" placard. Many cars flashed lights and gave us the thumbs up, even those a little inconvenienced by us going through.

Big thumbs up for Chancyy, she was the backbone of the day... my leadership skills are sadly limited to leading the half-time queue for the dunnies.

I heard a few joined us as we left .. but that was an awesome turn out

great to have the public support, being out front I missed that effect

thanks but along with yourself, Gingin & Peter its a group effort, and of course the the work Bogan is doing in Palmy, & the outstanding work on the flyers and the success is to all the riders who took part & listened at the riders brief outstanding

Just had a call from a council rep , it is confirmed that the carpark inside the square will be closed to cars on the 17th. I will be picking up a bollard key on the 16th, and opening up the entrances from both main st roundabouts, and the rangitiki st entrance to bikes only (leave middle bollard in) before 8am on the 17th.
