Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
I don't know what SV you were riding. SVs have the perfect fuel injection, matching and power delivery, no snatch pops or farts at all. Read any review they have one of the best V-twin motors in the world.
Why would other brands like Cagiva etc use the SV motor if it popped and farted. Its a "Suzuki" the motors are bullet proof.
SV1000s (year for year ) are over 40kg lighter than a Bandit, have more horsepower, and about same torque, and handle better, go figure what is the quickest........ I admit the Bandits develop torque a bit lower in the rev range.
Dont get me wrong Bandits are a bloody good bike, and I may buy another if I cant find another manufacturer that makes a reasonably priced V twin in years to come.
Im just stating the facts, as I see em.
The SV650 has a fantastic engine (even better in the DL650 under it's state of tune). That is the one that the Cagiva uses (for the baby rap). The big Cagiva uses what was the TL engine.
The SV1000 (and DL1000 of course) is known to have clutch basket issues which is evidenced by the shuddering (which gets progressively worse) at low revs. This is from idle to 3500 area. It's just the same on every SV1000 i've ridden (at least 3), not AS bad on the DL due to the tuning difference, but still here.
Neither of the 1000's (SV/DL) have spot on injection, the DL650 is pretty damn close though.
