Nice thought, but I think your "or would that mess things up too much" bit is dead on.

I think we're at risk of biting off more than we can chew with the add-ons - people coming and going too much will just get too confusing (for us and the attendant cops)

Yes I concur with Mully, nice thought but na, if anyone happens to be on the over bridges looking, they will know what we are on about.

    Hey all,

Just a quick reminder for peeps who are new to reasonable distance group riding with no stops. (this will be reminded on Saturday).

Saturday is looking like being a scorcher, so please ensure you are well hydrated for the ride. Coffee is not good for hydration before the ride.

The nana in me also suggests a good breakfast prior to the ride - as per the other thread, group riding requires concentration and being hungry and dehydrated takes your mind off the job at hand.

I'd also suggest not getting on the turps too hard the night before and try to get a reasonable night's sleep

(Maybe I should have asked Mom to write this post)

    cheers,
    Mully

Goooooooogle reck'ns 129 k's - so 'bout the same is pretty much dead on

    Route here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en...6b26e529c&z=11

(tip - if you are unfamiliar with any aspect of the route - use google maps and use the streetview feature to see the intersections etc we will use...)

I haven't seen anyone asking for Bear pickups, but if any collection point is going to have too many to carry themselves, I can assist if needed, ideally pick up on Friday night....

    Hi Mark
some bad SAR'ers sugesting we join you for ride, so some of SAR's will be there on Saturday as our ride is on same day, straight roads and 90km/hr is just not good for R1, so I my take my unregistred ST for ride and you going to love my custom make ACC shirt, the only one like that with spelling mistakes.
Anyway as we finish ride in Domaine I be so depressed so I'm going to have "world best and chipest pica " and drink Archie's Restaurant and Pizzeria 61 Davis Crescent New Market, just round corner from Domaine and anyone can have lunch and drink with me .

Nice post there Mully. Yes to all of the things that you said, but one other thing, a hat! Slip/slop/slap Water is the best thing to be drinking too.

It is going to be a pearler on Saturday, and very warm by the time we finish up at the domain.

hey everyone, this will be my first group ride, and i am really looking forward to it have read the group rider guide, and although it sounds a little daunting (sp?) im sure it will all go smoothly. I have been riding for 5 months now, and will probably find somewhere to pop my 'L' plate back on for the ride, just to make sure peeps around me are aware i am still on my loonie, er, learners, licence :P who should i look for on sat morning to let them know that this is my first group ride?

You guys end up pretty much where I live. I'm wondering if I should just meet you there. Can't really see the point of spilling 30 bucks of gas going up and down the motorways on an R1.

I thought ACC was keen to give you $700-odd worth of points per year.

Welcome to join in just at the end. We should be at the Domain from approx midday (although Mom will be there earlier)
