"I expect to pass through this life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again" William Penn (1644 - 1718)
A very well written and thoroughly researched document....It 's a shame that ACC probably wont take any notice of it![]()
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone
Well written, thank you Mr Hellyeah![]()
NiceI especially like points 2.3 and 3.5.
Increasing road safety and getting better value-for-money from levies is a very logical idea and one that a lot of countries seem to not want to go near. This seems criminal to me and I can never understand it.
I think it just gets put into the "too hard" basket to initialise. What we need to private individuals who actually give a damn to start-up these things and once they prove successful then get move gov't backing. A stupid way, but I feel the only way safer roads and better attitudes will happen.
Nicely done, and an excellent answer to all those complaining about "the industry's" silence over this issue.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
An excellent submission that addresses both the conflict of the levy proposals with the fundamental principles of ACC (ie. section 2.4) and the absence of any consideration of these proposals on injury prevention.
I agree with you on both points Hailwood.
Unfortunately the "anti-smacking" law farce is still in the back of my mind when it comes to the question "will they listen to the majority"? They (Govt bureaucrats) didn't then, and despite (presumably) masses of submissions made to ACC, I won't be holding my breath on this one either.
Shaken, not stirred in the shakey city!
A very good submission. Alas, it will go in the bin aong with all the rest.
It was important to get those submissions in- so no-one can say "They don't care". But no-one should be under the slightest impression that ACC will take any notice of them wahtsoever. ACC have NEVER taken any notice of any submission that does not support their predetermined outcomes.
