Nobody every mentions boatees. They drown like drunk dolphins.

There were a pleasing number of citizens that came out to their farm gates etc. on the Kapiti coast to give use a wave as we rode past.

The bike in front of me had it's rear tyre deflate on the motorway over bridge where SH1 meets SH2 at the bottom of Ngauranga Gorge -worst possible place, poor guy.

    I will post some pictures
i saw a decent patch of what looked like oil on the way back. it was near the massive ass skidmark, which im assuming is the one thats damaged the pavement. pity that some people have to potentially ruin it for others.

would the news crews be willing to give their footage for the dvd mentioned earlier? could make a whole bunch and sell them and raise money to repair the parking lot if needed that way. i would love to own a dvd of the day, from the meet at sanson to BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT to leaving the stadium.

    Still coming home ...

Looking out my window at work today in Cambridge, still lots of bikes on the road heading home that I recognise from the bikeoi, like the hawaiian shirt guys (good on ya'). Safe travels to all still out there.

damn, that sucks big time! i wonder if we combined what they did show with the footage taken by riders, both photos and video, and maybe even scans of newspaper articles etc, would there be enough to fill a disc? course, we would need someone clever to put the whole thing together and maybe run credits along the bottom? like [video shot by... photos taken by... footage courtesy of .... news etc]
