Just spoke to Sergent Walker from kapiti Police.
He was tasked with providing escorts from Otaki to Wellington.
he was our lead vehicle from Kapiti to Papakowhai.
In 35 years of Policing he has NEVER seen anything like yesterday.
He has stated that no one really came to their attention other than some idiot pullin wheelies on Mana esplanade. He believes other riders took care of it before the person was identified.
There were a lot of cars on the roads patrolling whilst riders departed wellington for home.
NOT ONE COMPLAINT FROM THE PUBLIC RECEIVED!!
99% OF RIDERS COMPLYENT. Those that weren't soon fell into line.
NOT AWARE OF ANY ACCIDENTS.
Everyone who spoke to a Police officer yesterday was polite.
Massive thumbs up from them.
What an adventure...as a reborn biker ,(march this year)
I found the whole thing, the ride down, sticking it to the prick smith,
the support of the public, and thousands of bikers united ,just blew me away,
Awesome....
Now back after my 1400 ks in all conditions I feel that I can call myself a true Biker.
And proud to be..

I just wanna thank everyone that represented for those of us on our learners and R licenses that ride 250's or under and live too far away to make the ride to Welly. We are just starting out on bikes, and I can tell you, its the ONLY way to travel to a crappy JOB. JOB= Just Over Broke. Which is where your station in life is.
"You done us all proud" indeed. In the spirit of meaningful protest, the BDOTGNZA forgives you.

" Life is not a rehearsal, it's as happy or miserable as you want to make it"
I felt honoured to ride and be in the company of such a fine body of citizens standing up for their rights, the few, the proud ... and we aren't stupid, nor are we trouts!
I'm a little sore from wearing my spartan outfit all day yesterday (and carrying that panoplic shield on my back from Auckland, Welly and back again!) ... but it feels good, first big shot against the front of the madness that we are trying to stem.
Keep up the good work everyone!

was in the paper. 17 year old missed his turn off and pulled over. then pulled back onto the road and collected a 55 year old. very silly and unfortunate mistake to make. no sign of the accident when i came past at about 7.30.
