How would a motorcycle TV programme work in our favour?

A couple of years ago when I was a KB Newbie, I suggested a motorcycle T.V programe.
The way I see this is something that the New Zealand Motorcycle Industry could back, with their sponsorship. It would cover All aspects of motorcycling in NZ, thus bringing us more exsposure to the Joe and Jane Public.
How would it be relivant to our ACC fight?.
It would give Motorcycling a T.V based Platform to put our side of the story accross, as well as being Informative and Entertaining, on all aspects of Motorcycling in NZ.
Why Should the NZ Motorcycle Industry do this?.
Well if the ACC and the Evil Nick Smith get their way then the Motorcycle Industry, will become a shadow of its former self.
What does the NZ Motorcycle Industry have to gain?.
The NZ motorcycle Industry gets a plat form to show the whole country what it has to offer, from new bike models, technoledgy advances, to safety gear, and advances in safety gear, ie more sales.
How does this help the Common Garden variety motorcyclist?.
The more who either return to the Motorcycling fold or who come in as a new rider, means that we have a greater number of Bikers on the road and trails, thus being a greater voter block that the politicians can't ignore, and marginalise.

Ok Lads and Ladesses, your thoughts.

While at the Bikoi, I saw the Moari TV camera man go up to the Moari woman waving her Moari flag, standing at the front of the fence, and try to interview her... and she didn't speak Te Reo!!
    One of the funny highlights...
    Sorry, off topic.
That Bike Rider TV program on Sky sport dosent have much local content, be a good option to put some footage of the protest there?
Capital Cruise and TT2000 2012. Looking forward to my two big rides!

mate Im gagging at the bit for a good bike show. I watch bike rider magazines TV show sometimes but rarely because they only seem to be interested in mudchuckers. I want to see street bike reviews, maintainence tips etc...I dont do moto X.

The problem would be it would need to be funded by advertising (or privately and not that many would have that kind of coin)

I don't think there would be enough advertising to get it off the ground on a main channel.

Ask BD how difficult it is to keep even the print version above ground.

I work in the Hifi industry and NZ cant really even support a specialist music/movie mag. Tone survives because it branches out into tech as well.

Nice idea but I doubt the dollars would stack up.

    Show me the money.

The web is the way forward.

I was watching some hi-def You Tube vids in full screen last night. Really good quality.

I reckon a joint australian/NZ show would survive tho.
    Imagine Top Gear on bikes.

I agree, a show about road bikes, club racing, technological developments, the characters, and other news about road bikes would be pretty awesome. I'm just devoting too much energy to racing (bicycles and motorcycles) and trying to survive on next to no money or I'm pretty sure if I had a couple of decent cameras I could do something pretty cool.
