Nope. Not in Auckland. ACC parking are cool with it (so long as someone has paid the fee, if there is one - don't think there is at MB).

Yes - I'm honestly a little conflicted - I trust the organiser's social responsibility entirely - I've also worked with those in the popular press who are paid to construct an angle.

It's a risk but probably not a large one IMO. To a reasonable proportion of the NZ public anyone beig disturbed at Mission Bay is probably a "flash bastard" anyway so we may pick up some vicarious sympathy as well.

People think we have already won.

WE need to show them differently

Yes - that makes sense. And I also buy Ixions incidental inconvenience take.

I can also see through the magic 'Innocent Mum needing nappies blockaded from shopping mall by leather clad hoofies' glasses too.

IME, at this stage such things, if handled properly tend to be "confirming". Those who are already sympathetic will be made more so, those who oppose us will be confirmed in their opinion.

Given how long this has been running I think most people have already taken their position.

    Course... I could be wrong.
I belive that the 1960's motorcycle protests in queen st saw the end of that law and we got a bike club called BRONZ to thank

Course... I could be wrong too

Hey, that's right. I remember parking up outside 246 and being abused by some random.

Its is conceivable that TV3 will get the 'other view' from car owners on Sunday and edit the item for the 6pm News. But thats the way it goes, shows the balance. We just have to have to better side of the item that goes to air.

Westfield spokeswoman Linda Trainer said the company had not been notified of any protests but its malls were private property and "we ask at all times for shoppers or visitors to our centres to respect the 'quiet enjoyment' of fellow shoppers and retailers."
    The carpark is public road........
