It was a very productive conference call, though a bit disapointed in ya miSTa, very little input from yo!!!

Bloody good time to be honest.

Was suprised to see Sexy Lexy doing 135 on Saturday, the wee fxr was getting a good work out. The grin on Lexy's face was a sight to when we pulled up at Mayfield.

Found out that its a bad idea to chase Wild Turkey down with Amaretto.

Ride home was uneventful. Hit a bit of crap weather halfway between Asburton and Christchurch though. It didnt last long so it was all good.

See you all at the Burt and the KB rallys.

Interesting ride down yesterday as the wind changed from NW to SW, but nice and settled once we got there. Good night and excellent entertainment, stayed and watched the band until they finished at about 2am and then awake at 6.30 when people started firing up bikes. Home via Geraldine, Mayfield & late breakfast in Ashvegas then through the rain at Dunsandel out the other side at Rolleston and dry at home. Bike unpacked, tent drying, washing on, time for a beer.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Oh really, never saw hide nor hair of the dodgy Dave better know as Subike shame was looking forward to catching up with you.

Kerry and I made it back, we packed up leisurely, chilled out a bit with the Dunedinites and waited for the bike traffic to quieten down before Kerry embarked on the journey home. Puddled along at 70 odd on the way back and had mostly a pleasant trip except for the one sphincter bodily orifice that attempted to side swipe me at the rear as I was in the low position on the road the cut Kerry off.

Loads of Fonterra tankers on the roads so if you know guys anyone who drives for them (or are one of the drivers) pass the word along a big thank you from the little L plated bike and the one riding behind it you guys were great, the courtesy you showed was magic.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

Thankyou all the Christchurch brigade that made me welcome ...

A few more miles on the FJ ... all good, and no rain. Wind yes ... but the good company made light of that.

Ya know it amazes me these days, in the oll days there would be a area behind the burn out pad that was cordened off, for saftys sake, fark emagin the damage a broken chain could do, let alone as in this case a 200kph piece of melted rubber, fark the guy is lucky he could be a dead burger or blind.

yeah hehehe... when I did one of my 'haul it up and do a head count' stop, (at the twin bridge gorge) I heard a engin being reemed sounded like a 250/4 or stroker twin... nex sec Lexy came hertling across the last bridge at warp 9 with a grin from hell

Susan And I headed into Timaru for breakfast at Mums place before heading home. Saw a couple of cops pulling south bound riders over on the edge of town and breath testing them. Fully expected to see the same north of Winchester but not a thing. We tucked in behind a bunch of riders as we passed through Winchester and over the next 30-40km witnessed them carry out some seriously dumb-ass passing manuvers and generally showing little respect for (read: scare the shit out of...) other road users. Not good PR given the current political climate. Only struck a wee bit of drizzle around Rolliston.
Susan picked up her first rally badge and I managed to put a few more names to faces so over all it was a great night out: 2thumbsup

Seems this is the place to throw down ya report of what become.

Cheers those and all. A good weekend.

    Second time to Winchester.
Awoken in the morning to a brilliant cuddle from me daughter, a nice breaky, pack the last of what I needed for the trip.
    Goodbye family…love ya!!!….. Bbbbbrmmmm, I was gone.

Darfeild by 9.30am… fill with some spirits in her tank at Oxford… a comp problem lead to slight delay. Darfeild, 9.37am. No one there. Mmm
Sent a txt to dangerous… at 9.50am… “not here by 10 I am going ahead”.
9.52 and I was ripping down the road, great run, weather was good, and the rumbling griso had me aroused.

Checked the cell at the gorge… nuthin… mmm
Zipped down ward the track. Mayfeild, blimmin bikers galore, even one in the middle of the road….. TARGET!!!!! Hang about, that’s them, those that were to be at Duh-field… cool.

Popped through to Geraldine for a feed, Burger was good; bits lodged in me mow provided nutrition later on.
To the site, a sight seen… HOT, the weather it was. Tent set. Brain set….”no shots for this GB” (nil repeat of last year) Whew and it was still hot, I was moist!!!!
That shift in the wind was awesome! Fully conditioned and perfect to chill out, a few drinks a wonder, snap snap a shot or three. Chatter, circulate, and chatter.

The night slowly went down, I struggled with new faces and names… who are they? Duh, no idea.
Drinks and more chatter, donkey shanks, Muslim goats resurfaced, rang miSTa to discuss important things in the world, and to be honest, he was not in rally mode, what a waste of good dollars where the conference of a few drew out much value.

Darkness, a Hot guzzi, fire, spirits laughing, huddles, and cuddles, exposure of flesh only one could imagine, I tried snapping, even taking pictures of others camera’s to spy a gink. NEVER HAPPENED!!!. Damn it.

Wet T, Band, whitebait Sammie, chips, another drink, and all that stuff. Glow rings. My eyes heavy, legs weakening.... near on sleeping, next thing SPLASH!!!! WTF??? What did I do??? cuppa drink icky and sticky, left side now wet side, I near on died!!!, Fella right side, was the target, happened I was wrong place wrong time…
In my head I said, it’s time for bed, lay down with a little frown.

Awoke, feeling as good as I should, The Flag for breaky, home ward bound.
Hugs and welcomes from those farewell’d.

Another good magpie , A awesome start to a few weeks off work . I'll bring a bottle of amaretto to kb in a few weeks Helen , think I drained a few refills out of ya hip flask . With talk of piercings, carbon fibre and bald harley tyres I collapsed soon after midnight, lots of new faces and a few more km's on the ape.

    Guzza,so agree with you !
Didnt see too much crazy stuff on the way home, different story when we went to Greymouth for racing at Labour weekend

I was really aware of how many drivers pulled over to the left yesterday, I always give these drivers a wee wave & a smile in appreciation as I go past
